WOLVES IN THE CHURCH

The Church is the Body of Christ, the congregation of Believers, a Sacred place of prayer and worship of the Almighty God of the Universe. It is a place where God's true Word is preached and practised wholeheartedly. It is not supposed to be a place where wrong is found. It is supposed to be a place where people who truly love God and obey His commandments are found - a place where integrity is the underlying character of members. It is therefore shocking to hear and learn of people in the Church engaged in one vice or the other, something that is only common to non-believers. The question is, how can someone who has heard God's Word, believed it, accepted our Lord Jesus Christ as Messiah still engage in fraud and deceit of his or her fellow believers? When such things are heard outside of the Church, it is expected because the Light of Christ is yet to shine on such person(s). Members of the Church are expected, in obedience to the commands of Christ Jesu...

IS PERSECUTION A PART OF CHRISTIANITY?

Dear friend, it is good to study the Word of God, the Holy Bible, for as God's Word states in Deuteronomy 8:3b and Matthew 4:4, "Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every Word God has spoken." Christianity is the only acceptable way of life as far as God is concerned. There are many religions that believe there are many ways to get to God but again, Christianity, becoming a follower of Christ Jesus, is the ONLY WAY TO REACH GOD. Our Lord Jesus Christ says in Matthew 5:11-12, "Blessed are you when they revile and persecute you, and say all kinds of evil against you falsely for My sake. Rejoice and be exceedingly glad, for great is your reward in heaven, for so they persecuted the prophets who were before you." Apostle Peter states in 1 Peter 4:12-16, "Beloved, do not think it strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened to you; but rejoice to the extent that you partake of Christ's ...

YOU WORK FOR MAN, WHAT ABOUT GOD?

When people get a job from a company or from an individual, their expectation is that they will be rewarded for the period it lasts and at the end of the contract they have entered. This contract is usually stated on a piece of paper spelling out the terms and obligations of each party (Employer and Employee). This piece of paper is called a Letter of Employment. Usually, when the job is from a reputable organization, the expectations are high for the employee who will be greatly rewarded in terms of salary, promotion, paid vacation, profit sharing and all other such benefits and emoluments, including severance benefits at the end of the employment period. There are however, some instances where the employer fails in their obligation to employees, usually when the company is not doing well in terms of revenue sales. There is a delay in paying staff, effecting promotion and other benefits. What is interesting in these instances is that you still find loyal staff who co...

GOD TOLERATES HUMAN BEINGS EVERY SECOND OF OUR LIVES

Dear friend, how often do you react whenever someone offends you? There are some people who simply cannot keep their temper in check - they explode at every single offence committed against them and later turn round to say that is their nature. Have you ever sat down to consider what the world would be if God reacted the same way? The truth is, human beings offend God every second and yet God does not immediately punish us. Yes, every single thing we do or say or think in this world is recorded in heaven as one of my previous posts has stated, but if God were to judge us immediately for our offenses against Him, He would long have ended the world. The world today is filled with a lot of evil, immorality, decadence, ritual killings, murders, theft, fraud, betrayal, hatred, envy, malice, bitterness, resentment, unforgiveness, indecency in dressing or speaking or acting, calumny, jealousy, tribalism and ethnicity, favouritism over merit, etc. I could go on and on to list...

WHO DO PEOPLE SAY YOU ARE?

Our Lord Jesus Christ asked His Apostles who people said He (Jesus) was and the following discussion ensued in Matthew 16:14-17 "Some say John the Baptist, some say Elijah, and others Jeremiah or one of the prophets. Jesus said to them, 'But who do you say I am?' Simon Peter answered and said, 'You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.' Jesus answered and said to him, 'Blessed are you, Simon Bar-Jonah, for flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but My Father who is in heaven.' As we can see from above, Jesus' Apostles were able to correctly proclaim His identity from their interaction with Him. As ambassadors of Christ being His disciples, Christians are equally expected to show Christ to the whole world in their character as Jesus Christ has commanded in John 8:31 "If you abide in My Word, you are my disciples indeed." Many Christians say it is difficult to live the same exemplary life our Lord Jesus Christ lived...
