Of God and Mankind

I recently saw the obituary of a married man in his 50s who recently died in a ghastly vehicle accident. This man belonged to a group of Christians who believe there is no HELL. They also believe there is no trinity, that Jesus Christ is the Son of God and not God, that there is no life after death and that all humans go out of existence once they die until when God would create a new heavens and earth. Unfortunately, all these beliefs are wrong because there are several Scriptures in the Holy Bible that disproves the erroneous beliefs of this group of Christians. I had the opportunity of discussing the issue of life after death with a female friend of mine who is a member of this group. Many Christian parents leave the responsibility of teaching God’s Word to their children to the church and the school their kids attend. These parents give excuse that they are so busy chasing material things with which to take care of their families and so there is very little time to engage in spiritual activities. Dear friend, we have entered what is known worldwide as Christmas, the best season in the world. It is the best season in the world because the season commemorates the first coming of Jesus Christ the Messiah, in fulfillment  of God’s promise to send a Saviour into the world to redeem mankind from the eternal consequence of sin. Sin and death entered the world as a result of the disobedience of our first parents Adam and Eve to a simple command from God to them. The devil was the brain behind the evil scheme that led to sin and death entering the world when he deceived, first Eve and then Adam into eating the forbidden fruit as God had commanded them not to eat. Dear friend, see what the Lord Jesus Christ says in Revelation 3:11, “I am coming quickly; hold fast what you have, so that no one may rob you  and deprive you of your crown. ” This is a warning from Jesus Christ to His Body, the Church on earth. When a person dies, Christ has already come for that person. However, for the person who is still alive on this earth, this warning still applies because in today’s world evil has escalated to a terrible level. It is so because the devil and his agents know their time is short so they are trying all their best to ensure to distract Christians to lose their crown, which the Lord has warned us to ensure this does not happen.
