What does it mean to cast your cares upon the Lord? What does God’s Word say about this? Let us examine 1 Peter 5:7 (AMPC), “ Casting the whole of your care [all your anxieties, all your worries, all your concerns, once and for all] on Him (Jesus Christ), for He cares for you affectionately  and cares about you watchfully. ” This looks so simple, doesn’t it? But I can tell you that it is one of the most difficult tasks for a human being to undertake, which is, living a worry-free life. Let me begin this message by stating a number of facts as far as this world is concerned: (1)         The devil is the cause of all the troubles of this world and not God as many ignorant folks think – John 10:10; Job 1:12-20. (2)         If you are not a Christian, the devil rules over you and has authority over you as the god of this world – 2 Corinthians 4:4. This means the devil will twist and turn the non-Christian’s life in any direction he wants to cause pain and untold affliction as we see in today’s world. (3)         When you become a Christian, the devil has no authority over you but you have authority over the devil given to you as a right in Christ Jesus – Luke 10:19; Colossians 1:13.
