JESUS HAS DONE IT AGAIN!

Psalm 33:1-6 (AMPC) “ 1 REJOICE IN the Lord, O you [uncompromisingly] righteous [you upright in right standing with God]; for praise is becoming  and appropriate for those who are upright [in heart]. 2 Give thanks to the Lord with the lyre; sing praises to Him with the harp of ten strings. 3 Sing to Him a new song; play skillfully [on the strings] with a loud  and joyful sound. 4 For the Word of the Lord is right; and all His work is done in faithfulness. 5 He loves righteousness and justice; the earth is full of the loving-kindness of the Lord. 6 By the Word of the Lord were the Heavens made, and all their host by the breath of His mouth.” [Heb. 11:3; II Pet. 3:5.] Dear people of God, I praise the Lord from the bottom of my heart and according to His Word above. On December 31, 2017, I sent out an end of year message just as I am doing today. Here we are exactly one year after, Monday December 31, 2018 and I have...

PREACHING A BALANCED SERMON

Matthew 6:33-34 (AMPC) 33 But seek (aim at and strive after) first of all His (God’s) kingdom and His righteousness (His way of doing and being right), and then all these things taken together will be given you besides. 34 So do not worry  or be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will have worries  and anxieties of its own. Sufficient for each day is its own trouble. Dear people of God, very few preachers in today’s Christendom are preaching a balanced sermon. A balanced sermon captures all aspects of Christianity as it is stated in the Holy Bible. The Words of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ in today’s lead Holy Bible text tells us what is the main issue we should strive for and focus on – the Kingdom of God and His righteousness. The Lord did not stop there but made a concrete promise that the material benefits over which we seek and worry, God would give to us as a result of first seeking His kingdom and His righteousness. It is ther...

AN UNGODLY TRADITION

Romans 12:2 (AMPC) “Do not be conformed to this world (this age), [fashioned after and adapted to its external, superficial customs], but be transformed (changed) by the [entire] renewal of your mind [by its new ideals and its new attitude], so that you may prove [for yourselves] what is the good and acceptable and perfect will of God, even the thing which is good and acceptable and perfect [in His sight for you].” Dear people of God, just last Thursday December 20, 2018, I was discussing with a maternal cousin of mine about a tradition in our area where it is very expensive to wed a lady in traditional marriage because of the myriad of demands by the woman’s family. My cousin told me that as a result of this ungodly practice by families of the brides, a number of couples just come together in concubinage to start a family of their own without a proper fulfillment of God’s requirements for marriage. A man and a woman should not just come together to start a family witho...

ACCEPT ONLY WHAT GOD HAS SAID CONCERNING YOU IN HIS WORD IN THE HOLY BIBLE

Dear friend, if you have been following my posts on this blog, you would have noticed by now that I keep making emphasis on the need for one to study, meditate and activate God’s Word over his or her life. One reason I do this is because God in His infinite mercy and love has made me understand through several media – Christian books, television, church sermons – the power in His Word in the Holy Bible. For instance, the Holy Bible tells in Acts 4:11-12 (AMPC), “This [Jesus] is the Stone which was despised  and rejected by you, the builders, but which has become the Head of the corner [the Cornerstone]. [Ps. 118:22.] 12 And there is salvation in  and through no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by  and in which we must be saved. This Scripture tells us that it is only through the Lord Jesus Christ that all human beings must be saved. You simply cannot rely on anyone else because Jesus Christ is God and the Word o...

JUST BELIEVE THE WORD OF GOD IN THE HOLY BIBLE (2)

When some people hear of crisis in certain areas of their country, it sends panic into them. The reason they panic is because of the devastating nature of the reports they hear. I want to ask, what does the Word of God say about God’s protection? Let us examine Psalm 91:9-11, “Because you have made the Lord your refuge, and the Most High your dwelling place, 10 There shall no evil befall you, nor any plague  or calamity come near your tent. 11 For He will give His angels [especial] charge over you to accompany  and defend  and preserve you in all your ways [of obedience and service]. This statement of God’s protection is for His children who are obedient and are in His service. Can one take this statement literally as God has said it? Yes, we can, for the simple reason that God has said it and His Word is true. I will give you a testimony to confirm this position. I watched a live Christian television broadcast 2 days ago in which ...
