Ephesians 4:22-25; 28-29 (AMPC) “ Wives, be subject (be submissive and adapt yourselves) to your own husbands as [a service] to the Lord. 23  For the husband is HEAD of the wife as Christ is the Head of the Church, Himself the Savior of [His] body. 24  As the Church is subject to Christ, so let wives also be subject in EVERYTHING to their husbands. 25  Husbands, love your wives, as Christ loved the Church and gave Himself up for her, 28  Even so husbands should love their wives as [being in a sense] their own bodies. He who loves his own wife loves himself. 29  For no man ever hated his own flesh, but nourishes and carefully protects and cherishes it, as Christ does the Church,” Dear people of God, many marriages are in trouble today because of disobedience of the couple to this simple injunction from God to Christians. The Word of God tells us in Proverbs 18:22 (AMPC), “ He who finds a [true] wife finds a good thing and obtains favor from the Lord. [Prov. 19:14; 31:10.] ” Someone has once wisely stated, every mother is a woman, but not every woman is a mother. Please take time to read again and understanding what this is saying as I will explain further. How does one know a true wife? From her actions. Let us see what the Word of God says in Proverbs 31:10-31 (AMPC), “A capable, intelligent,  and virtuous woman–who is he who can find her? She is far more precious than jewels  and her value is far above rubies  or pearls.
