A MOTHER’S LOVE

Jeremiah 31:20 (AMPC) “Is Ephraim My dear son? Is he a darling child  and beloved? For as often as I speak against him, I do [earnestly] remember him still. Therefore, My affection is stirred  and My heart yearns for him; I will surely have mercy, pity,  and loving-kindness for him, says the Lord.” Dear people of God, I once heard a true story of a mother and her last child. This mother has 9 children but the last one gives her constant trouble most of the time. This mother is advanced in age and so is not as swift as she was in her younger days. There was a day she received a report that the military authorities had arrested a group of young men and her last child happens to be one of them. This mother became agitated and frantically left everything to go look for this last child who was in trouble. She took her walking stick, and even took some money with her in case the military authorities demanded for a ‘ransom’ to free her child. When ...

WHY YOU MUST NEVER WORRY

Philippians 4:6-7 (AMPC) “6 Do not fret or have any anxiety about anything, but in every circumstance and in everything, by prayer and petition (definite requests), with thanksgiving, continue to make your wants known to God. 7 And God's peace [shall be yours, that tranquil state of a soul assured of its salvation through Christ, and so fearing nothing from God and being content with its earthly lot of whatever sort that is, that peace] which transcends all understanding shall garrison and mount guard over your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.” Many folks worry over many issues of life. One of the biggest worries majority have is over finances to cater for bills that would come. Some worry over their kids. Some worry over inability to pass examinations. Some worry over their family members. Some worry over inability to get married. Some worry over inability to conceive and have children on time. Some worry over journey mercies as they travel, whether or not they w...

LIVING A LIFE OF DOUBLE STANDARDS

Hebrews 4:13 “ 13  And not a creature exists that is concealed from His (God’s) sight, but all things are open  and exposed, naked  and defenseless to the eyes of Him with Whom we have to do.” In Church everyone knows you as a sincere, straightforward Christian Believer. At the workplace, they know you as an alcoholic, womanizer, liar, and compromiser of Bible standards. In your neighbourhood, you are also known as a trouble maker who cannot be trusted with funds meant for community projects. However, you are quick to criticise the politicians who are not living up to public expectation. Dear friend, do you know anyone that fits this description? I know many would readily have someone or people that come to mind but this article is not about them. This is about the fellow who professes Christianity, follower of Christ Jesus the Lord but whose lifestyle of double standards brings dishonour to the Name of Jesus Christ. You may think you can ...

A VERY GOOD WAY TO BUILD YOUR FAITH IN JESUS CHRIST

Dear friend, the Word of God in the Holy Bible admonishes us in Philippians 4:6-7 (AMPC), “ 6 Do not fret or have any anxiety about anything, but in every circumstance and in everything, by prayer and petition (definite requests), with thanksgiving, continue to make your wants known to God. 7 And God's peace [shall be yours, that tranquil state of a soul assured of its salvation through Christ, and so fearing nothing from God and being content with its earthly lot of whatever sort that is, that peace] which transcends all understanding shall garrison  and mount guard over your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. The Word of God says we should not fret or have anxiety about anything. In today’s world filled with pressures of all kinds, how easy is it to do that, you may ask. For you to know why you should not fret or have anxiety about anything, you must first understand how worry and anxiety affects a person. A significant portion of the ill hea...
