John 12:9-11 (AMPC) “Now a great many of the Jews knew that He was there; and they came, not for Jesus’ sake only, but that they might also see Lazarus, whom He had raised from the dead.  10 But the chief priests plotted to put Lazarus to death also,  11 because on account of him many of the Jews went away and believed in Jesus.”   Dear people of God, in today’s lead Holy Bible text above, we see the chief priests plotting to kill Lazarus because on account of the fact that the Lord Jesus Christ raised him from death after 4 days, many Jews came to believe in Jesus Christ.   Rather than appreciate God for the mighty works Jesus Christ was doing and acknowledging Jesus Christ as the Great Person that He was, the Pharisees were more interested in protecting their fame and legacy as Religious leaders of the day.   They were more than ready to discredit whatever Jesus was doing so that the Jews would pay attention to them and not to Jesus Christ.   As of t...

Matthew 10:32-33 (AMPC) “ Therefore, everyone who acknowledges Me (Jesus Christ) before men  and confesses Me [out of a state of oneness with Me], I will also acknowledge him before My Father Who is in heaven  and confess [that I am abiding in] him.   33 But whoever denies  and disowns Me before men, I also will deny  and disown him before My Father Who is in heaven.”   Dear people of God, a few days ago I watched a video where a young Christian man of North Eastern Nigeria origin testified how his father, a Christian also, was brutally murdered by the evil Boko Haram Islamist terrorists in September 2014.   He said his father was captured by the Boko Haram terrorists and asked to deny Jesus Christ, which he bluntly refused.   The terrorists then cut off his hand up to the wrist and asked him to deny Jesus, which he still refused. The online dictionary defines disobedience as “ failure or refusal to obey rules or someone in authority”. The world is facing all the calamities today because of an act of disobedience to God’s commands. Thousands of years ago, God gave a simple instruction to Adam and Eve to eat of the fruit of every tree in the Garden of Eden except the tree of the knowledge of good and evil in the middle of the Garden. Only God knows for how long Adam and Eve kept this instruction until one day when the devil came and deceived Eve into disobeying God and Eve also made her husband Adam disobey God as well – Genesis 2:16-17; 3:1-12.
