JESUS TOOK OUR INFIRMITIES AND BORE OUR SICKNESSES AND DISEASES (2)
1 Peter 2:24 (AMPC) “He (Jesus Christ) personally bore our sins in His [own] body on the tree [as on an altar and offered Himself on it], that we might die (cease to exist) to sin and live to righteousness. By His wounds you have been healed.” Dear people of God, in the first part of this post on the same topic, we saw evidence from the Holy Bible (Matthew 8:17), that the Lord Jesus Christ took our infirmities and bore our sicknesses and diseases. What this means is that a Christian should not bear what Jesus has already borne for us. In today’s lead Holy Bible text above, we see a second evidence in 1 Peter 2:24. The very last verse says by His (Jesus’) wounds you HAVE BEEN healed. It does not say you are going to be healed or you will be healed. The king James version says, by His stripe s , ye WERE HEALED.
