THE DANGER OF UNFORGIVENESS

Dear friend, has anyone offended you so much that you have determined in your heart never to forgive the person? What is the worst offence that someone has committed against you? Did they: ·         steal your money or property? ·         tell lies against you that landed you or someone else in prison? ·         betray your trust? ·         rape you or a loved one? ·         sexually molest you or a loved one? ·         kill your spouse, sibling, child, relative, neighbour, friend or colleague? ·         bully you or continually molest you with physical and emotional abuse? ·         turn your spouse, sibling, child, relative, neighbour, friend or colleague against you? ·     ...

THE HOLINESS OF GOD

There is a great need for us to understand the person of God so we know how to relate to  Him in our everyday lives. This post is about God's Holiness. The Lord God is so holy that once a person understands this nature of His, that person  would also understand why God cannot stand sin in any form. The very first pointer to God's holiness is seen when the first man and woman Adam and Eve  disobeyed a simple command God gave to them to eat of every tree in the garden of Eden EXCEPT the tree that gives knowledge of what is good and bad that stood in the middle of the garden. satan came and deceived them to eat the forbidden fruit of the tree and that single act of  disobedience made the glory of God to leave them. Rather than repent and ask God for forgiveness, Adam blamed the woman and the woman blamed the devil. That singular act has been responsible for the evil that entered mankind and continues to this very day. This was not God's plan for mankin...

THE POWER IN THE NAME AND BLOOD OF JESUS CHRIST (2)

Dear reader, in the first part of this post, we examined the reason why the name and blood of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ is the most potent in heaven, on earth, and the entire universe. If you have not read that post, I urge you sincerely to do so. In that first post, I encouraged readers to plead the blood of Jesus over ANYONE AND ANYTHING - your family members, your work, business, health, education, finances, vehicle, home, friends, relatives, colleagues, acquaintances, clothing, food, etc etc. Plead the blood of Jesus over your soul and body, over everything and anything that concerns you - even over your perceived enemies without hating them as true Christians should behave (Matthew 5:43-48). Call the name of Jesus into your life, into your heart, into your soul, into any project you want to undertake in life, into any circumstance you find yourself. The power in Jesus' name and blood is simply unbelievable. Anyone who knows how to use this simple truth ...

THE POWER IN THE NAME AND BLOOD OF JESUS CHRIST

Our Lord Jesus Christ told His Apostles in John 14:12-14, "I am telling you the truth: whoever believes in me will do what I do - yes, he will do even greater things, because I am going to the Father. And I will do whatever you ask for in my name, so that the Father's glory will be shown through the Son. If you ask me for anything in my name, I will do it." In encouraging His disciples to be fervent in prayer without giving up, our Lord Jesus Christ told the parable of the widow and the unjust judge (Luke 18:1-5) and He ended up by saying in verses 7-8, And the Lord continued, "Listen to what that corrupt judge said. Now, will God not judge in favour of His own people who cry to Him day and night for help? Will He be slow to help them? I tell you, He will judge in their favour and do it quickly. But will the Son of Man find faith on earth when He comes?" In these two Scripture verses, our Lord Jesus shows us the power in His name as well as the import...

THE FOOLISHNESS OF WICKEDNESS

A colleague of mine told me a very sad and shocking story that happened over this past weekend. Within the Nigerian public transportation system, there are mini buses and tricycles. A bus driver who is also a Pastor had closed for the day and was on his way home when he got to a bus stop and saw some of his neighbours who were stranded due to lack of transportation. As he called out to his neighbours to join him for them to go home together, other stranded passengers rushed into the bus. The driver had no intention of collecting money from the passengers since he had closed for the day. That singular act of kindness from the driver angered the tricycle operators in the area who said the bus driver was spoiling business for them. The tricycle operators then descended on the bus driver and beat him to a point of near death. One of them who had a shop then rushed to get fuel (petrol) he had bought for his electric power generator and poured on the driver and attempted to set him...
