Matthew 15:14 (AMPC) “ Let them alone and disregard them; they are blind guides and teachers. And if a blind man leads a blind man, both will fall into a ditch.”   Dear people of God, today’s message is directed at church members who support their pastors and priests even when what the parson is preaching about or practising is glaringly wrong and at variance with God’s Word.   In today’s lead Holy Bible text, the Lord Jesus was responding to the wrong held view of the Scribes and Pharisees about ceremonial washing of hands before eating.   The Lord Jesus Christ went on to state that what defiles a person is not the food that enters the mouth into the body but rather foul words that come from a person’s mouth originating from foul thoughts in his heart.   The Pharisees were obviously offended at Jesus’ correction and this led the Lord Jesus to make the statement in today’s Scripture reference above.   Just as in the time of the Lord as a human on this ...

Matthew 10:32-33 (AMPC) “ Therefore, everyone who acknowledges Me (Jesus Christ) before men  and confesses Me [out of a state of oneness with Me], I will also acknowledge him before My Father Who is in heaven  and confess [that I am abiding in] him.   33 But whoever denies  and disowns Me before men, I also will deny  and disown him before My Father Who is in heaven.”   Dear people of God, a few days ago I watched a video where a young Christian man of North Eastern Nigeria origin testified how his father, a Christian also, was brutally murdered by the evil Boko Haram Islamist terrorists in September 2014.   He said his father was captured by the Boko Haram terrorists and asked to deny Jesus Christ, which he bluntly refused.   The terrorists then cut off his hand up to the wrist and asked him to deny Jesus, which he still refused. Romans 11:29 (AMPC) “ For God's gifts and His call are irrevocable. [He never withdraws them when once they are given, and He does not change His mind about those to whom He gives His grace or to whom He sends His call.]” Dear people of God, I wish you the Happiest of New Years in 2020 in Jesus’ Mighty Name, Amen. As is usual with most of us, we would have reflected over 2019 and made some resolutions, goals and commitments for 2020. My simple advice to everyone reading this message today is that you include the Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of God, the Messiah and Master of the Universe in whatever plans you have for 2020. You must include Jesus Christ because He is the ONLY person Who would never mislead you because of His unfailing love for you as your Creator and God.
