Deuteronomy 3:1-4 (AMPC)  “ 1 THEN WE turned and went up the road to Bashan, and Og king of Bashan came out against us, he and all his people, to battle at Edrei.   2 And the Lord said to me, Do not fear him, for I have given him and all his people and his land into your hand; and you shall do to him as you did to Sihon king of the Amorites, who lived at Heshbon.   3 So the Lord our God also gave into our hands Og king of Bashan and all his people, and we smote him until not one was left to him.   4 And we took all his cities at that time; there was not a city which we did not take from them, sixty cities, the whole region of Argob, the kingdom of Og in Bashan.”   Dear people of God, today’s lead Bible text is a typical example of how God fulfils His Word once He gives it.   When the Israelites were out of Egypt by God’s mighty hand and moving through the wilderness towards the land God had promised to give their forefathers and descenda...

Ephesians 4:11-15 (AMPC)   “ And His gifts were [varied; He Himself appointed and gave men to us] some to be apostles (special messengers), some prophets (inspired preachers and expounders), some evangelists (preachers of the Gospel, traveling missionaries), some pastors (shepherds of His flock) and teachers.   12 His intention was the perfecting and the full equipping of the saints (His consecrated people), [that they should do] the work of ministering toward building up Christ's body (the church),   13 [That it might develop] until we all attain oneness in the faith and in the comprehension of the [full and accurate] knowledge of the Son of God, that [we might arrive] at really mature manhood (the completeness of personality which is nothing less than the standard height of Christ's own perfection), the measure of the stature of the fullness of the Christ and the completeness found in Him.   14 So then, we may no longer be children, tossed ...
