Dear friend, God has made it clear in His Word in Isaiah 55:8-9 "For My thoughts are not your thoughts, nor are your ways My ways,” says the Lord. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways, and My thoughts than your thoughts." Since this is the truth of God's Word, it should set the tone for today's post. When a Christian experiences a tragedy like losing a loved one to death, what sometimes sets in is despair on the part of the Christian. The person is unable to understand why God allowed it to happen. Tragedy can come in various forms to a Christian and it may not be because the person is a sinner or has offended God. Most genuine Christians are usually shocked by such occurrences because they are not prepared for it and some may even begin to question their faith in God or whether God exists at all.
