THE GREATNESS OF OUR GOD (2)

Our God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ has 3 attributes no other being has - He is Omnipotent, Omnipresent and Omniscient.

By Omnipotence, God has UNLIMITED power and ability to all things. God's says in Genesis 18:14a, "Is anything too hard for the Lord?"

The Angel Gabriel told the Blessed Virgin Mary, who was mother of our Lord Jesus Christ on earth, in Luke 1:37 "For with God nothing will be impossible.”

Job recognised this fact when he rightly told God our Father in Job 42:2 “I know that You can do everything, and that no purpose of Yours can be withheld from You." 

When God is called Omnipresent, it means He is everywhere at the same time. This is confirmed in Jeremiah 23:23-24 when God says “Am I a God near at hand,” says the Lord, and not a God afar off?

Can anyone hide himself in secret places, So I shall not see him?” says the Lord; Do I not fill heaven and earth?” says the Lord.

It is also stated in Proverbs 15:3, "The eyes of the Lord are in every place, keeping watch on the evil and the good."

When we say God is Omniscient, it means He has ALL KNOWLEDGE. God knows everything and this is so because He is the Owner and Creator of the Universe.

God's Word states in Psalm 147:5 "Great is our Lord, and mighty in power; His understanding is infinite."

It is written in Isaiah 40:28, "Have you not known? Have you not heard? The everlasting God, the Lord, the Creator of the ends of the earth, neither faints nor is weary.

His understanding is unsearchable."

Dear friend, this, again, is the Greatness of our God. In the entire Universe, there is none like Him, none before, none now, and none ever!

We thank God for who He is. We thank God for revealing Himself to human beings. We thank God for the opportunity to perceive Him in all He has made, opportunity to search for Him, opportunity to know Him and opportunity to serve Him.

We thank God for His love in sending our Lord Jesus Christ to this world to die for the sins of mankind to reconcile us to Himself.

God expects us to believe this message of Hope, message of Repentance and Salvation, repent from sins and evil and accept Jesus Christ as our Lord and Saviour.

Dear friend, I believe this message and I have Jesus Christ as Lord of my life. By God's grace, I am also living my life in obedience to God's commands in His written Word found in the Holy Bible.

Have you done the same? If not, please what are you waiting for? Today, and now, is the time to accept Jesus, for tomorrow may be too late.

May the good Lord bless you as you heed His Word today, act on it and share with others in Jesus' Precious Name, Amen.

HOW DO YOU CONTROL VIOLENCE IN PEOPLE?

Hebrews 12:14 (AMPC)  “ Strive to live in peace with everybody and pursue that consecration  and holiness without which no one will [ever] see the Lord.”   Dear people of God, I read sometime in December 2019 ago of a police inspector in Nigeria who shot and killed his colleague, a corporal, and the same shot injured another colleague, a deputy Superintendent of police after which the police inspector took his own life.   What could have led to such violence?   I also read of another unfortunate story of a lady killed December 25, 2019, Christmas Day, by her husband who had beaten her to a coma and then ran away after discovering what he had done. The police have since found and arrested him.   Reports have it that the man was fond of beating his late wife at the slightest provocation, which has eventually led to her death in this latest incident.   Again, what could have caused this incessant violence?   Medical experts claim that humans have 2 s...

GOD CANNOT VIOLATE HIS WORD

  Psalm 89:34  “My covenant I will not violate, nor will I alter the utterance of My lips.” Dear people of God, today’s lead Bible text in Psalm 89:34 is a profound statement by God Almighty and Father of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. What this statement from God means is that there is nothing He has said in His Word that He will fail to perform. A sensible Christian who understands this will look for what God has said by careful, meditative study of God’s Word found only in the Holy Bible, thank God joyously for it, claim it and God will surely perform what His Word has stated.
