JERUSALEM AS ISRAEL’S CAPITAL (3)

Matthew 24:1-3 (AMPC)   JESUS DEPARTED from the temple area and was going on His way when His disciples came up to Him to call His attention to the buildings of the temple and point them out to Him. 2 But He answered them, Do you see all these? Truly I tell you, there will not be left here one stone upon another that will not be thrown down. 3 While He was seated on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to Him privately and said, Tell us, when will this take place, and what will be the sign of Your coming and of the end (the completion, the consummation) of the age? Dear people of God, only yesterday December 25, 2017, the nation of Guatemala in Central America has also taken a decision like the United States of America to move its embassy in Israel to Jerusalem. From today’s lead Holy Bible text, you can see the Lord Jesus’ comments concerning the future fate of the Jewish Temple that was in Jerusalem. This was actually the 3rd temple or Herod...

JERUSALEM AS ISRAEL’S CAPITAL (2)

Joel 3:1-7 (AMPC)   “ FOR BEHOLD, in those days and at that time when I shall reverse the captivity and restore the fortunes of Judah and Jerusalem, 2 I will gather all nations and will bring them down into the Valley of Jehoshaphat, and there will I deal with and execute judgment upon them for [their treatment of] My people and of My heritage Israel, whom they have scattered among the nations and [because] they have divided My land. 3 And they have cast lots for My people, and have given a boy for a harlot and have sold a girl for juice [of the grape] and have drunk it. 4 Yes, and what are you to Me, O Tyre and Sidon and all the [five small] divisions of Philistia? Will you pay Me back for something? Even if you pay Me back, swiftly and speedily I will return your deed [of retaliation] upon your own head, 5 Because you have taken My silver and My gold and have carried into your temples and palaces My precious treasures, 6...

UNDERSTANDING CHRISTIANITY (2)

The preachers of the false doctrine of eternal security (once saved, always saved regardless of subsequent lifestyle whether immoral or not), a doctrine of demons, usually quote Romans 8:1 and say there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. Is that what that Scripture verse says? Let us examine Romans 8:1, “ THEREFORE, [there is] now no condemnation (no adjudging guilty of wrong) for those who are in Christ Jesus,  who live [and] walk not after the dictates of the flesh, but after the dictates of the Spirit. As you can see, dear friend, there is a second part of that Scripture, which says those in Christ live and walk not after the dictates of the flesh but after the dictates of the Spirit. When you have the Spirit of God, He will warn and remind you when you have done something wrong so you can immediately return to God in sincere repentance and make necessary amends. Anyone who claims to be a Christian and who can do a wrong thing without a p...

UNDERSTANDING CHRISTIANITY

My personal observation and experience has shown that there are many Christians who are not aware of the enormous blessings God has given to them. This is evident when I am out with my spouse on evangelism, usually every Saturday evening. Whenever we pass the message of the magnificent blessings God has released to Christians to those who care to listen, you would usually see the listener’s face light up because he is hearing it for the first time and it sounds very strange in his ears. This ignorance is partly what is responsible for the level of moral decadence you find amongst Christians. When a person does not know his right in Christ, he is bound to do anything to get along including things that offend God, which is not what a Christian should do. When a Christian leader, pastor, evangelist, Sunday school teacher, General Overseer, who should know better is also unaware and therefore unable to pass the right message to his congregation, it is like the Lord Jesus ...
