UNDERSTANDING CHRISTIANITY (2)

The preachers of the false doctrine of eternal security (once saved, always saved regardless of subsequent lifestyle whether immoral or not), a doctrine of demons, usually quote Romans 8:1 and say there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.

Is that what that Scripture verse says? Let us examine Romans 8:1, “THEREFORE, [there is] now no condemnation (no adjudging guilty of wrong) for those who are in Christ Jesus, who live [and] walk not after the dictates of the flesh, but after the dictates of the Spirit.

As you can see, dear friend, there is a second part of that Scripture, which says those in Christ live and walk not after the dictates of the flesh but after the dictates of the Spirit.

When you have the Spirit of God, He will warn and remind you when you have done something wrong so you can immediately return to God in sincere repentance and make necessary amends.

Anyone who claims to be a Christian and who can do a wrong thing without a prick of his or her conscience is not living and walking after the dictates of the Spirit of God.

For instance, how does a Christian indulge in alcohol, cigarette smoking, pornography, immoral music, indecent dressing, etc and not feel something is wrong?

All these are the dictates of the flesh and it is from satan, the evil one.

Dear friend, a Christian must pray the prayer stated in Psalm 139:23-24, “Search me [thoroughly], O God, and know my heart! Try me and know my thoughts!

24 And see if there is any wicked or hurtful way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.”

The God Who created you and me and Who loves us immensely would answer this prayer once prayed with a sincere heart.

Jesus Christ is coming soon in Rapture to take His earthly saints away. Are you ready to receive Him?

Repent now and turn to Jesus before it is too late.

May the good Lord bless you as you heed His Word today, act on it and share with others in Jesus’ Holy Name, Amen.

HOW DO YOU CONTROL VIOLENCE IN PEOPLE?

Hebrews 12:14 (AMPC)  “ Strive to live in peace with everybody and pursue that consecration  and holiness without which no one will [ever] see the Lord.”   Dear people of God, I read sometime in December 2019 ago of a police inspector in Nigeria who shot and killed his colleague, a corporal, and the same shot injured another colleague, a deputy Superintendent of police after which the police inspector took his own life.   What could have led to such violence?   I also read of another unfortunate story of a lady killed December 25, 2019, Christmas Day, by her husband who had beaten her to a coma and then ran away after discovering what he had done. GOD CANNOT VIOLATE HIS WORD

  Psalm 89:34  “My covenant I will not violate, nor will I alter the utterance of My lips.” Dear people of God, today’s lead Bible text in Psalm 89:34 is a profound statement by God Almighty and Father of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. What this statement from God means is that there is nothing He has said in His Word that He will fail to perform. A sensible Christian who understands this will look for what God has said by careful, meditative study of God’s Word found only in the Holy Bible, thank God joyously for it, claim it and God will surely perform what His Word has stated.
