Of God and Mankind

Many people live in constant fear of the unknown – fear of danger, fear of poverty, fear of loneliness, fear of old age, fear of enemies, fear of the unknown, fear of rejection, fear of losing a job or business opportunity, fear of ill health, etc. There are Christians who also exhibit these fears ignorantly. God’s Word in the Holy Bible tells us in 2 Timothy 1:7, “ For God did not give us a spirit of timidity (of cowardice, of craven and cringing and fawning fear), but [He has given us a spirit] of power and of love and of calm   and well-balanced mind   and discipline   and self-control. ” Since God did not give us a spirit of fear, so where does that spirit come from? The devil of course! You must bind and cast out that spirit of fear now and today in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. So dear friend, why do you live in fear as a Christian when God has given you a spirit of power, love, calm, well balanced mind, discipline and self-control?...

In our quest for quick life and quick ways of doing things, we have adopted the microwave mentality to using the name of Jesus. We have allowed the fast life to becloud the spiritual importance and meaning of calling the name JESUS and by our apparent lack of discernment and understanding which has replaced the Mighty , Earth Shaken and Miracle Inspiring Declaration “In the Name of Jesus” with “IJN” . Have you taken time to ponder about this? : We take time to write lengthy prayers on social media and end such prayers with IJN. Proverbs 22:6  "Train up a child in the way he should go [and in keeping with his individual gift or bent], and when he is old he will not depart from it." Dear people of God, today’s lead Holy Bible text looks simple and explanatory enough but sadly, only few parents are able to abide by it. The love parents have for their children makes them do so many ungodly things for these children in the belief that what they are doing is best for the child whereas they are destroying the child’s life and future. Such parents forget that children are a gift from God Almighty and Father of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ and every of God’s gift to us is precious and must be treated as such.
