Luke 12:15 (AMPC) “ And He (Jesus Christ) said to them, Guard yourselves and keep free from all covetousness (the immoderate desire for wealth, the greedy longing to have more); for a man's life does not consist in and is not derived from possessing overflowing abundance or that which is over and above his needs.”   Dear people of God, there is nowhere in the Holy Bible God condemns wealth or riches because the wealth of the world belongs to God and He created it for humans as confirmed in Genesis 1:28-31 and Proverbs 10:22.   What the Word of God condemns is the love of money and covetousness. The issue of love of money was addressed in the first part of this post.   As for covetousness, it means an  inordinate desire for wealth or possessions or for another's possessions .
