1 Peter 4:3-5 (GNBK) “ You have spent enough time in the past doing what the heathen like to do. Your lives were spent in indecency, lust, drunkenness, orgies, drinking parties, and the disgusting worship of idols.    4 And now the heathen are surprised when you do not join them in the same wild and reckless living, and so they insult you.    5 But they will have to give an account of themselves to God, Who is ready to judge the living and the dead.”    Dear people of God, when anyone encounters Jesus, believes, repents genuinely and accepts Jesus Christ as Saviour and Lord of his life, a new Spirit takes over the person as he becomes a new creation in Jesus Christ – 2 Corinthians 5:17.   However, because the person is still a baby Christian, the devil makes an effort using the new Christian’s friends to try to pull him back into a previous lifestyle of sin and immorality.   When the new Christian refuses to join his former friends in their reckle...

  Matthew 6:14-15 (AMPC) “ For if you forgive people their trespasses [their reckless and wilful sins, leaving them, letting them go, and giving up resentment], your heavenly Father will also forgive you.   15 But if you do not forgive others their trespasses [their reckless and wilful sins, leaving them, letting them go, and giving up resentment], neither will your Father forgive you your trespasses.”   Dear people of God, preaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ is much easier than practising what it says.   As stated in today’s lead text, how many of us Christians can forgive and give up resentment concerning a WILFUL sin others commit against us?   I once heard the true testimony of a Christian man who married a woman and had 3 kids with her.
