There are people who pray to God on a matter and usually end it with the phrase, “please grant this request if it is according to your will.” Let us see what the Bible says in 1 John 5:14-15, “And this is the confidence (the assurance, the privilege of boldness) which we have in Him: [we are sure] that if we ask anything (make any request) according to His will (in agreement with His own plan), He listens to and hears us. 15 And if (since) we [positively] know that He listens to us in whatever we ask, we also know [with settled and absolute knowledge] that we have [granted us as our present possessions] the requests made of Him.” Drawing from this Scripture reference, we know for sure that God’s will is His own plan and that God would grant any prayer that is according to His will. Dear friend, see what the Lord Jesus Christ says in Revelation 3:11, “I am coming quickly; hold fast what you have, so that no one may rob you  and deprive you of your crown. ” This is a warning from Jesus Christ to His Body, the Church on earth. When a person dies, Christ has already come for that person. However, for the person who is still alive on this earth, this warning still applies because in today’s world evil has escalated to a terrible level. It is so because the devil and his agents know their time is short so they are trying all their best to ensure to distract Christians to lose their crown, which the Lord has warned us to ensure this does not happen. Jesus Christ came the first time to this earth as a human being to redeem mankind from the curse placed and spiritual separation from God as a result of sin and death that were the consequence of man’s disobedience to God’s commandment. A number of people, Christians inclusive, are expressing surprise at the escalating level of violence, poverty and evil in the present days. In fact, reports have it that nationals of so called third world countries are migrating legally and illegally in droves to so called “safe haven” nations of the world in Europe and North America. Unfortunately for these legal and illegal migrants, however, even these safe haven countries do not guarantee any safety from evil as we also read almost on a daily basis of stabbings, mass shootings, car drive killings, racism happening in these countries. Nowhere appears to be safe even when some claim they would rather run to the safe haven countries to escape the issues of their own nations like a friend of mine told me earlier today as we conversed over the telephone.
