THE REASON SIN AND CALAMITIES PERSIST ON THIS EARTH (2)

2 Corinthians 4:4-5 (AMPC)    “ For the god of this world has blinded the unbelievers' minds [that they should not discern the truth], preventing them from seeing the illuminating light of the Gospel of the glory of Christ (the Messiah), Who is the Image  and Likeness of God.   5 For what we preach is not ourselves but Jesus Christ as Lord, and ourselves [merely] as your servants (slaves) for Jesus' sake.”   Dear people of God, in the first part of the post on this topic, we were able to establish that the calamities and atrocities of this world are caused indirectly and directly by satan and demonic forces influencing humans.   We were able to establish that Adam, our first parent, was the god of this world as ordained by God Almighty at creation but Adam lost his status to satan as a result of disobedience to God’s commandments.   Since then, satan has held sway as the god of this age. We can see satan’s audacity when he tempted the Lord Jesus C...

THE REASON SIN AND CALAMITIES PERSIST ON THIS EARTH

2 Corinthians 4:4-5 (AMPC)  “ For the god of this world has blinded the unbelievers' minds [that they should not discern the truth], preventing them from seeing the illuminating light of the Gospel of the glory of Christ (the Messiah), Who is the Image  and Likeness of God. 5 For what we preach is not ourselves but Jesus Christ as Lord, and ourselves [merely] as your servants (slaves) for Jesus' sake.”   Dear people of God, there have been reports in recent years about xenophobic attacks by South Africans in their country against nationalities of other countries, especially Nigerians. Sometime in 2019, another round of xenophobic attacks started again by South Africans against Nigerians residing and doing business in South Africa.   The reason for the latest attack is a rumour that Nigerians attacked and killed a Taxify driver of South African origin.   Unfortunately, that particular attack against Nigerians provoked reactions by citizens of Nigeria against...

PROOF OF LIFE AFTER DEATH

Luke 16:19-31 (AMPC) “ There was a certain rich man who [habitually] clothed himself in purple and fine linen and reveled  and feasted  and made merry in splendor every day.   20 And at his gate there was [carelessly] dropped down  and left a certain utterly destitute man named Lazarus, [reduced to begging alms and] covered with [ulcerated] sores. 21 He [eagerly] desired to be satisfied with what fell from the rich man's table; moreover, the dogs even came and licked his sores. 22 And it occurred that the man [reduced to] begging died and was carried by the angels to Abraham's bosom. The rich man also died and was buried. 23 And in Hades (the realm of the dead), being in torment, he lifted up his eyes and saw Abraham far away, and Lazarus in his bosom. 24 And he cried out and said, Father Abraham, have pity  and mercy on me and send Lazarus to dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue, for I am in anguish in this flame. 25...

THE GOSPEL YOU SHOULD BE PREACHING

Galatians 1:6-9 (AMPC) “ I am surprised  and astonished that you are so quickly turning renegade  and deserting Him Who invited  and called you by the grace (unmerited favor) of Christ (the Messiah) [and that you are transferring your allegiance] to a different [even an opposition] g ospel.   7 Not that there is [or could be] any other [genuine Gospel], but there are [obviously] some who are troubling  and disturbing  and bewildering you [with a different kind of teaching which they offer as a gospel] and want to pervert  and distort the Gospel of Christ (the Messiah) [into something which it absolutely is not].   8 But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach to you a gospel contrary to  and different from that which we preached to you, let him be accursed (anathema, devoted to destruction, doomed to eternal punishment)!   9 As we said before, so I now say again: If anyone is preaching to you a gospel different fr...

GOD’S WORD ALWAYS PRODUCES MIRACLES

Matthew 9:35-36 (AMPC)    “ And Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues and proclaiming the Good news (the Gospel) of the kingdom and curing all kinds of disease and every weakness  and infirmity. 36 When He saw the throngs, He was moved with pity  and sympathy for them, because they were bewildered (harassed and distressed and dejected and helpless), like sheep without a shepherd.” Dear people of God, there are two ways miracles happen in this world: (1) through a move of God’s anointing by the Holy Spirit AS THE SPIRIT WILLS and (2) through anointing in God’s Word in the Holy Bible. Majority of Christians are aware of the first miracle process while few are aware of the second miracle process. This is the reason why many Christians fail to take study of God’s Word and meditation therein as seriously as they seek miracles at the hands of pastors and men of God. This is also why many Christians fail to believe what God’s Word s...
