THE REASON SIN AND CALAMITIES PERSIST ON THIS EARTH

2 Corinthians 4:4-5 (AMPC) 

“For the god of this world has blinded the unbelievers' minds [that they should not discern the truth], preventing them from seeing the illuminating light of the Gospel of the glory of Christ (the Messiah), Who is the Image and Likeness of God.

5 For what we preach is not ourselves but Jesus Christ as Lord, and ourselves [merely] as your servants (slaves) for Jesus' sake.” 

Dear people of God, there have been reports in recent years about xenophobic attacks by South Africans in their country against nationalities of other countries, especially Nigerians.

Sometime in 2019, another round of xenophobic attacks started again by South Africans against Nigerians residing and doing business in South Africa. 

The reason for the latest attack is a rumour that Nigerians attacked and killed a Taxify driver of South African origin. 

Unfortunately, that particular attack against Nigerians provoked reactions by citizens of Nigeria against businesses owned by South Africans in Nigeria.

In the past, other reasons canvased by the South Africans for their behaviour against other nationalities is that the foreigners have taken over all their jobs. They have also accused the Nigerians of drug trafficking, prostitution and human trafficking using South African ladies.

However, please note that you cannot find anyone who is a genuine follower of the Lord Jesus Christ involved in all these atrocious acts.

A proof of this is seen in today’s lead Holy Bible text, which says that satan, the god of this world, has blinded the eyes of unbelievers (ALL non-Christians) to the illuminating Light of the Gospel of Jesus Christ the Messiah.

It is the demonic forces working in the minds and spirits of unbelievers that makes them to do the evil things they do without batting an eyelid.

In the beginning when God created the world, Adam, the first human, was the god of this world and God gave Adam full dominion over all creation here on earth as contained in Genesis 1:26-30.

However, Adam disobeyed God’s command and lost control over the earth to satan, who now became the god of this world. As a result, sin and death entered the world.

Now because Adam’s lease is still running in this world, satan continues as god of this world to hold sway to influence, control and damage the lives of humans on this earth.

This is why we see calamities and unimaginable evil happening all over the world because satan, demons and their human agents are working very hard to inflict pain in the lives of all humans to make them believe God Almighty does not exist.

This is why countries have external and internal wars, people murder others, boys and girls dress immorally, lawmakers of nations pass ungodly and immoral laws, children disobey parents at will, fraudsters perpetrate frauds against others and organizations, people join occultic groups for money, fame and political power, etc.

At this juncture, I want to make a very important point, which is that anybody who has become a Christian can successfully overcome such calamities or not become influenced by demonic spirits to cause trouble.

How do I know this? 

Let us examine God’s Word in 1 John 5:18-19, “We know [absolutely] that anyone born of God does not [deliberately and knowingly] practice committing sin, but the One Who was begotten of God carefully watches over and protects him [Christ's divine presence within him preserves him against the evil], and the wicked one does not lay hold (get a grip) on him or touch [him].

19 We know [positively] that we are of God, and the whole world [around us] is under the power of the evil one.”

The implication of this Scripture is that anyone who is not of Christ is in grave danger of demonic influence or attack no matter where he or she is in this world. If that person dies without Christ, there is no longer any hope for such person but an eternal damnation.

A time is coming in the future when Adam’s lease on this earth would run out and God would punish satan and demons for their rebellion against Him. They would be cast into the lake of fire where they would be tormented forever and ever – Revelation 20:10.

Unfortunately, anyone who has not received Christ Jesus as Saviour and Lord or had previously received Christ but relapsed into sin and died in sin would also suffer the same consequence, including those who are currently in HELL as a result of having died outside of Christ – Revelation 20:13-15. 

Dear friend, there is nothing worthy for anyone to die without a genuine relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ. It is a pathetic situation because of the unfathomable horrors of hell. 

Only Jesus Christ can save. There is no one else who can. Jesus Christ is God and He is Lord of the earth. Only Jesus can protect you against the current atrocities of this world as His Word above has confirmed. 

Only Jesus can assure you of victory here on earth and an eternal life with Him. 

Come to Jesus today, before it is too late. 

May the good Lord bless you as you heed His Word today, act on it and share with others in Jesus’ Powerful Name, Amen.

HOW DO YOU CONTROL VIOLENCE IN PEOPLE?

Hebrews 12:14 (AMPC)  “ Strive to live in peace with everybody and pursue that consecration  and holiness without which no one will [ever] see the Lord.”   Dear people of God, I read sometime in December 2019 ago of a police inspector in Nigeria who shot and killed his colleague, a corporal, and the same shot injured another colleague, a deputy Superintendent of police after which the police inspector took his own life.   What could have led to such violence?   I also read of another unfortunate story of a lady killed December 25, 2019, Christmas Day, by her husband who had beaten her to a coma and then ran away after discovering what he had done. GOD CANNOT VIOLATE HIS WORD

  Psalm 89:34  “My covenant I will not violate, nor will I alter the utterance of My lips.” Dear people of God, today’s lead Bible text in Psalm 89:34 is a profound statement by God Almighty and Father of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. What this statement from God means is that there is nothing He has said in His Word that He will fail to perform.
