YOU MUST ASK GOD IN PRAYER FOR FORGIVENESS ON A DAILY BASIS

When the Lord Jesus taught His apostles to pray, these were the Words He used in Matthew 6:9-13 that we have come to know as the Lord’s Prayer: “Our Father Who is in heaven, hallowed (kept holy) be Your name. 10 Your kingdom come, Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. 11 Give us this day our daily bread. 12 And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven (left, remitted, and let go of the debts, and have given up resentment against) our debtors. 13 And lead (bring) us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one. For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen.” Now the Word “debts” here means sins or wrongdoings or trespasses. This is the daily prayer our Lord Jesus Christ taught His apostles to pray. I happen to have a Roman Catholic background so I observed that we were taught to pray this prayer and as a result, asking God for forgiveness of sins on a daily basis became an integral part ...

SICKNESS & WEAKNESS DO NOT ACCOMPANY OLD AGE

Deuteronomy 34:7 (GNB) “Moses was 120 years old when he died; he was as strong as ever, and his eyesight was still good.” Dear people of God, there is a very wrong impression most people have Christians inclusive, which is that old age brings weakness and sickness to one’s body. There is not one Scripture in the Bible that supports this erroneous statement but most believers have come to accept it out of ignorance. Today’s lead Scripture tells us that Moses the man of God died at 120 years of age and he was as strong as ever and his eye sight was still good. Even when the Word of God tells us that it is what we believe in our hearts and declare with our mouths that we will receive, you still find people saying the wrong things with their mouths from the wrong things that is implanted in their hearts. Once this verbal declaration is done, it is manifested spiritually. Now, when the very same wrong things they have believed and declared now manifest ...

YOU MUST TAKE GOD AT HIS WORD

When a man speaks, he may or may not be telling the truth. The only way to tell whether the man is telling the truth is when he does exactly what he says. Life has shown especially nowadays that a lot of people make promises they simply do not keep. They break agreements at will, they dishonour commitments and just fail to keep their word. As a result, the world is such that people have learned not to take the words of humans seriously. Until the person performs what he has said would the listener believe he is telling the truth. This is why men promise marriages to women and refuse to turn up on the wedding day. This is why countries go to war with each other. This is why companies take themselves to court to settle issues of distrust. This is why electorates the world over are fed up with the lies of political office holders who promise them one thing during the campaign period and do the very opposite once they are elected into office. This is why the Holy Bibl...

WALKING A DEAD END ROAD

1 John 5:10-12 “He who believes in the Son of God has the witness in himself; he who does not believe God has made Him a liar, because he has not believed the testimony that God has given of His Son. 11 And this is the testimony: that God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. 12 He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life.” Dear people of God, today’s Scripture text is self explanatory. I urge you to take time to read it over and over again and meditate until it sinks into your spirit. The very first statement of the text is significant as whoever believes in the Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of God must have evidence in his life as proof of the relationship. This evidence includes total freedom from sin (1 Corinthians 3:5-6), from all manner of sickness (Matthew 8:17; 1 Peter 2:24), total freedom from control and dominion of all powers of darkness (Colossians 1:13; Luke 10:19), freedom to live in righteousn...
