DEALING WITH GUILT OF SIN

1 John 1:7-9 “ But if we [really] are living  and walking in the Light, as He [God Himself] is in the Light, we have [true, unbroken] fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus  Christ His Son cleanses (removes) us from all sin  and guilt [keeps us cleansed from sin in all its forms and manifestations].   8 If we say we have no sin [refusing to admit that we are sinners], we delude  and lead ourselves astray, and the Truth [which the Gospel presents] is not in us [does not dwell in our hearts].   9 If we [freely] admit that we have sinned  and confess our sins, He is faithful and just (true to His own nature and promises) and will forgive our sins [dismiss our lawlessness] and [continuously] cleanse us from all unrighteousness [everything not in conformity to His will in purpose, thought, and action].”   Dear people of God, the above Scripture was addressed by John the Evangelist to Christian believers.   There are s...

WOULD JESUS CHRIST APPROVE OF YOUR ACTION?

Acts 26:17-18 (AMPC) “ 17 Choosing you out [selecting you for Myself]  and delivering you from among this [Jewish] people and the Gentiles to whom I am sending you – [Ezek. 2:1, 3.] 18 To open their eyes that they may turn from darkness to light and from the power of satan to God, so that they may thus receive forgiveness and release from their sins and a place and portion among those who are consecrated and purified by faith in Me. [Isa. 42:7, 16.] Dear people of God, the above Holy Bible text is the mandate the Lord Jesus Christ gave to Paul the Apostle. This mandate remains the same even today from Jesus Christ to all Christians, His followers, who are genuine and sincere in their pledge of loyalty with unfeigned obedience to His commands in the Holy Bible. The mandate is the same because God can never change His standard or reduce it for any reason or anyone – Malachi 3:6a; Hebrews 13:8. It is therefore expected that a committed follower...

HOW SHOULD CHRISTIANS DEAL WITH SICKNESSES AND DISEASES?

Mark 6:54-56 (AMPC) As soon as they got out of the boat, [the people] recognized Him (JESUS CHRIST), 55 And they ran about the whole countryside, and began to carry around sick people on their sleeping pads or mats to any place where they heard that He was. 56 And wherever He came into villages or cities or the country, they would lay the sick in the marketplaces and beg Him that they might touch even the fringe of His outer garment, and as many as touched Him were restored to health.   Dear people of God, there were medical doctors in the time the Lord Jesus Christ was here on earth as a human being because Jesus made reference to medical doctors helping the sick in Mark 2:17; Luke 5:31. However, there is no record in the Gospels where the Lord Jesus Christ referred a sick person to see a doctor. Jesus Christ dealt with every sickness in two ways – laying of hands and casting out demons where present by His Word – Matthew 8:16. Also, when Jesus Chr...

A WARNING TO OPPRESSORS OF THE POOR AND NEEDY

Proverbs 14:31; 17:5 (AMPC) “ He who oppresses the poor reproaches, mocks,  and insults his Maker, but he who is kind  and merciful to the needy honors Him (God).” [Prov. 17:5; Matt. 25:40, 45.] “ Whoever mocks the poor reproaches his Maker, and he who is glad at calamity shall not be held innocent or go unpunished.” [Job 31:29; Prov. 14:31; Obad. 12.] Dear people of God, today’s lead Holy Bible is a serious warning to people who oppress others and people who rejoice at the calamity that befalls others. With the level of wickedness and atrocities some commit against others in today’s world, it is very reassuring to note that the oppressed person has the Ultimate Being, God Almighty and Father of my Saviour and Lord Jesus Christ as His Consolation. At every level of society in different nations of the world we read, see and hear of: ü   governments oppressing their own citizens, ü   governments oppressing foreign residents of nations whose governm...

WHY DO YOU STARVE YOUR SPIRIT?

There is food for the physical body, which those who can afford it eat three times every single day of their lives. There are a number of ways food helps the human body, which according to the edx blog are as follows: (1)         Provides energy to get things done daily (2)         Repairs muscle and build DNA (3)         Helps the body insulate itself and improve overall health (4)         Helps one feel better and look attractive (5)         Helps to improve brain function, which includes memory and attention You can therefore imagine the impact on a human when there is no food to make the above activities happen. Eventually, a person who starves his body from food would die. Very few people also understand that there is food for the human spirit, which is the real person. When a person dies...
