WHY DO YOU STARVE YOUR SPIRIT?

There is food for the physical body, which those who can afford it eat three times every single day of their lives.

There are a number of ways food helps the human body, which according to the edx blog are as follows:


(1)        Provides energy to get things done daily

(2)        Repairs muscle and build DNA

(3)        Helps the body insulate itself and improve overall health

(4)        Helps one feel better and look attractive

(5)        Helps to improve brain function, which includes memory and attention

You can therefore imagine the impact on a human when there is no food to make the above activities happen.

Eventually, a person who starves his body from food would die.

Very few people also understand that there is food for the human spirit, which is the real person.

When a person dies, the soul and the human spirit, the real you, separate from your body and the body is buried in the ground while the spirit and soul continue to live and can never die.

That is the way God designed every human being so nobody can escape this process.

As I stated a short while above, there is food for the human spirit, which is the Word of God in the Holy Bible.

Many Christians starve their spirits and expose themselves to spiritual dangers initiated and executed by the devil and his agents.

The Bible calls the Word of God the Sword that the Spirit wields – Ephesians 6:17 (AMPC) or the Sword of the Spirit (KJV).

God is a Spirit (John 4:24) and connects with His children, Christians, humans, through our human spirit. When we study the Bible, it makes it easy for God to connect with us through that small voice we hear within whenever God speaks to us.

When you therefore starve your spirit of spiritual food, the Word of God, you are automatically disconnecting yourself from God and endangering yourself spiritually just as starving yourself of physical food endangers your body physically.

Now, just as the physical body dies from physical food starvation, so the human spirit dies from being starved of spiritual food even when the person is alive physically.

The person is susceptible to sin that further kills the human spirit because there is no offensive from the person against the devil’s spiritual arrows.

No wonder the Bible says the engrafted or implanted Word of God contains the power to save our souls – James 1:21. Your soul is your mind, will and emotion.

This is why the person who exposes himself to study, meditation and confession of God’s Word remains spiritually alert because the Holy Spirit communicates, advises, strengthens and warns the person about danger.

You also find out that those who study and meditate on God’s Word are spiritually alert against danger in their dreams because that is another area the devil, demons and their human agents launch attacks against people.

Whenever you speak God’s Word against any untoward situation, you are wielding the Sword of the Spirit against that situation and the devil who has caused the problem would flee because he cannot stand the Fire of God’s spoken Word from the mouth of a Believer.

This is one reason the devil does everything possible to keep Christians from studying, knowing and confessing God’s Word because that is the greatest offensive weapon against him.

Dear friend, one reason many Christians fall into sin is because they starve their spirit of God’s Word.

One reason Christians struggle against sin, sicknesses and diseases is because they starve their spirit of God’s Word.

It is necessary to emphasize this point especially in this very end of the Church age where the devils have created all manner of spiritual assault against the children of God through accidents, quarrels, wars, fights, adultery, fornication, strife, anger, malice, pornography, immoral music, immoral literature, envy, pride, unforgiveness, resentment, fear, worry, anxiety, doubt, sicknesses and diseases of various kinds etc.

The devil and his agents know their time is almost up and that Christians would soon leave this world when Jesus Christ our Lord comes in the Rapture to take His ready children so the devils want to prevent as many Christians as possible from going through temptation and sin.

A child of God can only successfully withstand and overcome the devil always by knowing what God’s Word says about any unpleasant, oppressive and discomforting situation by confessing it out openly in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ.

You therefore cannot afford to joke with your study, meditation, obedience and confession of God’s Word daily and at least twice every day morning and evening. Where possible, include a prayer and study of God’s Word every 12 noon anywhere you are in this world.

Jesus Christ is coming NOW to take in Rapture ONLY those who are ready and waiting for Him.
