Revelation 2:7 (AMPC) “He who is able to hear, let him listen to and give heed to what the Spirit says to the assemblies (churches). To him who overcomes (is victorious), I will grant to eat [of the fruit] of the tree of life, which is in the paradise of God.” Dear people of God, whenever I hear a message I am sure is from God, I have a serious obligation to share with Christians and non-Christians for their own good. This is consistent with God’s commands in Ezekiel 3:17-21. And so it was that on Sunday November 12, 2017, a young man from one of the parishes of my church assembly came to give us a message he got from the Lord. Hebrews 13:4 (AMPC) “Marriage is to be honoured by all, and husbands and wives must be faithful to each other. God will judge those who are immoral and those who commit adultery.” Dear people of God, a friend of mine told me an experience he had at a church program he attended some years ago. There were many married couples present at the gathering of about 5,000 people and the officiating minister asked a question, “Since you have been married, if you as a man know you have never beaten your wife or cheated on her with another woman, raise up your hand.” My friend said only 4 men, himself inclusive raised up their hand in the entire congregation of married folks. That testimony gives a grim picture of the society in which we live today. The moral decadence in many of today’s marriages has hit a very dangerous low that acts that were previously termed a taboo are now openly celebrated. Genuine wealth is given by God to humans. However, the unsaved person believes he is responsible for his wealth through his hard work. And for this reason, the unsaved wealthy individual believes he does not need God. The Lord Jesus makes it clear in Mark 10:24-25, “ Children, how hard it is for those who trust (place their confidence, their sense of safety) in riches to enter the kingdom of God! 25 It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God.” Some preachers have tried to down play the seriousness of Jesus’ Words above but the Lord means exactly what He says concerning those who put their trust in riches and not in the God Who created them. Even these days, it is quite difficult to reach wealthy people to preach the Gospel of Repentance and Salvation to them because they surround themselves with so many human obstacles in the name of security for fear of being molested or attacked.
