 Proverbs 14:31; 17:5 (AMPC) “ He who oppresses the poor reproaches, mocks,  and insults his Maker, but he who is kind  and merciful to the needy honors Him (God).” [Prov. 17:5; Matt. 25:40, 45.] “ Whoever mocks the poor reproaches his Maker, and he who is glad at calamity shall not be held innocent or go unpunished.” [Job 31:29; Prov. 14:31; Obad. 12.] Dear people of God, today’s lead Holy Bible is a serious warning to people who oppress others and people who rejoice at the calamity that befalls others. With the level of wickedness and atrocities some commit against others in today’s world, it is very reassuring to note that the oppressed person has the Ultimate Being, God Almighty and Father of my Saviour and Lord Jesus Christ as His Consolation.
