DID JESUS CHRIST RISE FROM THE DEAD?

Dear friend, today, my spouse and I went on Evangelism to share the Gospel of Christ Jesus with people in our neighbourhood. We came across 3 young men and in the course of our discussion, one of them who says he reads the Holy Bible and other books out of curiosity asked a question that is the topic for today’s post. He asked if Jesus Christ rose from the dead, to which my spouse and I responded that if Jesus Christ did not rise from the dead, then we would be wasting our time sharing the Gospel with them. You see, the foundation of the Gospel message is that according to the Scriptures, the Lord Jesus Christ was to die and rise again after 3 days. Indeed, if Jesus Christ did not rise again after His death on the Cross for the sins of mankind, then Christianity as we know it today would not exist. As we are told in 1 Corinthians 15:13-14, “ But if there is no resurrection of the dead, then Christ has not risen; 14 And if Christ has not risen, then our pre...

INTERPRETING GOD’S WORD

2 Peter 3:16-17 (AMPC) “Speaking of this as he does in all of his letters. There are some things in those [epistles of Paul] that are difficult to understand, which the ignorant and unstable twist and misconstrue to their own utter destruction, just as [they distort and misinterpret] the rest of the Scriptures. 17 Let me warn you therefore, beloved, that knowing these things beforehand, you should be on your guard, lest you be carried away by the error of lawless and wicked [persons and] fall from your own [present] firm condition [your own steadfastness of mind].” Dear people of God, some people claim there are many interpretations of God’s Word in the Holy Bible. In today’s lead text, Apostle Peter tells us how some twist Scriptures to their own utter destruction and warns us not to be misled by the error of lawless and wicked persons. For instance, some, including pastors, claim tithes belong to the Old Testament and are not necessary now. So how does the work ...

THE END IS HERE

Luke 17:26-30 “And [just] as it was in the days of Noah, so will it be in the time of the Son of Man. 27 [People] ate, they drank, they married, they were given in marriage, right up to the day when Noah went into the ark, and the flood came and destroyed them all. [Gen. 6:5-8; 7:6-24.] 28 So also [it was the same] as it was in the days of Lot. [People] ate, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they built; 29 But on the [very] day that Lot went out of Sodom, it rained fire and brimstone from heaven and destroyed [them] all. 30 That is the way it will be on the day that the Son of Man is revealed.” [Gen. 18:20-33; 19:24, 25.] Dear people of God, in recent times, the warnings about the second coming of the Lord Jesus Christ have become rampant and very very urgent. It is the Lord Jesus Himself Who is sending these warnings especially to the Church but the message seems to be falling on deaf ears. The Lord Jesus says Christians are distractin...

YOU COULD LOSE YOUR HEALING

Luke 11:24-26 “When the unclean spirit has gone out of a person, it roams through waterless places in search [of a place] of rest (release, refreshment, ease); and finding none it says, I will go back to my house from which I came. 25 And when it arrives, it finds [the place] swept and put in order and furnished and decorated. 26 And it goes and brings other spirits, seven [of them], more evil than itself, and they enter in, settle down, and dwell there; and the last state of that person is worse than the first.” Dear people of God, many Christians don’t understand the antics of the devil and demonic spirits. No matter what you have known before now, one fact you must understand, dear friend, is that ALL sickness, by whatever name is caused by the devil. Therefore, once you are healed from sickness, it means the demonic spirit causing it has been driven out of your body and this deliverance will happen ONLY using the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Take note ...

WALKING WITH GOD HAS IMMENSE BENEFITS (2)

A friend of mine told me a very sad tale yesterday about how some 5 armed robbers attacked her and her family some 2 weeks ago. The details were gory and she said what they heard about the injuries these criminals inflicted on her neighbours makes her case sound very mild. As she was telling me this sad incident, my mind went to God’s Word in Psalm 91:9-10 , “ Because you have made the Lord your refuge, and the Most High your dwelling place, 10 There shall no evil befall you, nor any plague or calamity come near your tent (home).” One question anyone reading this text would want to ask is, did God fail this lady and her family even when the Scripture says no evil or plague or calamity would come near her home? The answer, dear friend, is no. God did not fail her because of His integrity and faithfulness to keep His Word always. On the other hand, unfortunately, a lot of people are ignorant of what is their right as Christians and so they suffer the ...
