YOU COULD LOSE YOUR HEALING
Luke 11:24-26
“When the unclean spirit has gone out of a person, it roams through waterless places in search [of a place] of rest (release, refreshment, ease); and finding none it says, I will go back to my house from which I came.
25 And when it arrives, it finds [the place] swept and put in order and furnished and decorated.
26 And it goes and brings other spirits, seven [of them], more evil than itself, and they enter in, settle down, and dwell there; and the last state of that person is worse than the first.”
Dear people of God, many Christians don’t understand the antics of the devil and demonic spirits.
No matter what you have known before now, one fact you must understand, dear friend, is that ALL sickness, by whatever name is caused by the devil.
Therefore, once you are healed from sickness, it means the demonic spirit causing it has been driven out of your body and this deliverance will happen ONLY using the name of the Lord Jesus Christ.
Take note that the fact that I said a demonic spirit caused the sickness does not mean the person is possessed.
A person can have a demonic oppression and not be possessed. This is evident in Luke 13:16 where the Lord Jesus confirmed a woman was bound by satan for 18 years and this made her stature bend over all those years until the Lord healed her.
Evidence of a person being possessed by a demon or demons is when the demons completely take over and the person loses his or her senses. This is evident in the case of the demoniac of Gadara in Mark 5:1-14 who was possessed by about 6,000 demons!
As you can see from today’s lead Holy Bible text, the fact that one has been healed from a sickness or disease does not make satan give up from trying to oppress the person again and again, and satan will never stop trying as long as the person is still alive in this world.
So, a person can lose healing through sin as we see in John 5:14 where the Lord Jesus warned the man He (Jesus) had delivered from satan’s bondage after 38 years. The Lord clearly warned him that something worse would happen to him if he continued to sin.
Another way a person can lose healing is through unbelief. Unbelief shows itself first in one’s thoughts and then the words that flow from the person’s mouth as a result of unbelieving thoughts – Luke 6:45.
Many Christians are not familiar with this issue and so they when they fall sick severally, they keep wondering what went wrong and they ask God why the sickness has come back again.
Dear friend, it is not God who caused the sickness to come back but you through unbelief. Unbelief can also show itself through fear like in Job’s case where calamity came upon him because he was living in fear of calamity (Job 1:5; 3:25).
This is another area many Christians lack understanding. They are ignorant of the link between fear and satanic oppression. This is evidence of the link between the spiritual world and the physical world.
So how do you avoid losing your healing?
First, you must recognize as stated earlier that satan is the author and origin of all sickness by whatever name – Acts 10:38; John 10:10.
Second, you must recognize that as long as you are a child of God (living righteously in obedience to Jesus’ commands in the Holy Bible having repented sincerely of sin and evil), satan will never stop trying to bring you down to make you doubt God and sin against God.
Until you leave this world, satan will never stop trying and you must understand this so you know how to resist the devil all the time – 1 Peter 5:8-9.
Third, you must recognize that when Jesus died for the sins of mankind (yours, mine and everyone else’s), Jesus also took away ALL our infirmities and bore our sicknesses and diseases – Matthew 8:17. Therefore, sickness simply has no business in the body of a child of God!
Fourth, you must recognize that as His child, God has given you authority over ALL powers of satan, demons and their human agents – Luke 10:19. This again, is where many Christians lack understanding.
As a result of this lack of understanding, many Christians live in fear of satan, demons and their human agents. Dear friend, satan will only get you when you permit him by you failing to recognize your authority as a Christian.
Fifth, you must always activate your authority to resist all antics and evil machinations of satan and his agents. Take note that this authority is activated verbally ONLY in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and not by any other name.
So you must give the sickness or symptoms of sickness (the demonic spirit behind it) a command in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ and it MUST leave.
Nothing can make the sickness stay in the body of a child of God once it is commanded to leave in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ.
The Bible does not ask you to pray to God to take sickness away from you. Jesus Christ already took away your sicknesses and diseases when He shed His precious blood and died for our sins on the Cross of Calvary – Isaiah 53:4-5; Matthew 8:17; 1 Peter 2:24.
I have repeated this fact so that you can read it again and again until it sinks into your spirit. I said, Jesus Christ took away your sicknesses and diseases when He took away your sin on the Cross of Calvary.
It is not me who has said so but the infallible and immutable Word of God says so in the Holy Bible.
So you must activate your God-given authority in the Name of Jesus Christ over all powers of darkness and whatever sickness by whatever name MUST disappear from your body.
You must stand by your faith in God’s Word and consistently claim your right to divine health as God’s child in the Name of Jesus Christ until the sickness leaves your body.
Don’t ever make the mistake of saying in ignorance like some Christians, that maybe it is the will of God for you to be sick or God is using the sickness to teach you a lesson.
Once you do, you have entered unbelief, satan will hit you and the sickness must certainly come back. So avoid such talk of unbelief! Again, this is evidence of a link between the spirit world and the physical world.
I ask you, dear friend, How can God allow something He took away from you to come back for Him to teach you a lesson? Does that not contradict His gift to you when He died on the Cross of Calvary?
Dear friend, today, you have seen how you can lose your healing through unbelief, fear and sin.
In fact, in some cases, one can die in the process because satan will not want the person to receive divine healing again and will kill the person before another opportunity for divine healing comes.
Finally, dear friend, as you must have seen and known by now, this privilege of divine healing and remaining in divine health is only for a child of God and not for everybody.

It is simple.
Repent of sin, confess and forsake sin, accept the Lord Jesus Christ as your Messiah and then commit with your God-given freewill to live a righteous life in sincere obedience to Jesus’ commands in the Holy Bible.
The choice is yours, dear friend. Jesus Christ is coming NOW! Accept Him NOW, for tomorrow or later may be too late to accept Him.
