DO YOU REALLY TRUST GOD? (3)

Proverbs 4:23-27 (GNBDK) “ Be careful how you think; your life is shaped by your thoughts.     24 Never say anything that isn't true. Have nothing to do with lies and misleading words.    25 Look straight ahead with honest confidence; don't hang your head in shame.    26 Plan carefully what you do, and whatever you do will turn out right.    27 Avoid evil and walk straight ahead. Don't go one step off the right way”     Dear people of God, there are a number of people who claim to love and trust God but their love and trust of God is only on their lips.   Their daily actions reveal a deep ignorance of the God they claim to love and trust.   Today’s lead Holy Bible text tells us several things.   First, your thoughts shape your life. Many people don’t understand this fact but know today that every thought you think whether positive or negative is real and tangible and builds tangible results in your life.   This is wh...

DO YOU REALLY TRUST GOD? (2)

1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 (AMPC) “ Be happy [in your faith] and rejoice and be glad-hearted continually (always);   17 Be unceasing in prayer [praying perseveringly];   18 Thank [God] in everything [no matter what the circumstances may be, be thankful and give thanks], for this is the will of God for you [who are] in Christ Jesus [the Revealer and Mediator of that will].”   Dear people of God, one reason several Christians engage in wrongdoing to earn a living is because they have not taken time to research into the ways of God and His ability to curtail every negative situation in favour of His children.   When you dwell in fear, anxiety, worry and doubt over the future and imagine poverty in your mind, it paralyses you, magnifies whatever the problem and hinders your ability to think Truth contained in God’s Word.   When you dwell on these negative emotions, you violate God’s Word in 2 Timothy 1:7 and also give the devil a LEGAL RIGHT to come...

DO YOU REALLY TRUST GOD?

John 3:5-7 (AMPC) “ Lean on, trust in, and be confident in the Lord with all your heart and mind and do not rely on your own insight or understanding.   6 In all your ways know, recognize, and acknowledge Him, and He will direct and make straight and plain your paths.   7 Be not wise in your own eyes; reverently fear and worship the Lord and turn [entirely] away from evil. [Prov. 8:13.]     Dear people of God, some Christians get into trouble with God because they fail to rely totally on Him but rely instead on their own understanding.   I once had a conversation with a young man who is currently undertaking part-time University studies. He plans to get a job after his graduation in the year 2023.   When he told me his age in response to my enquiry, I told him by the time he graduated his age would be above what organizations require for fresh graduates.   He then told me that he would reduce his age to 22 y...

JUDGING OTHERS ON ISSUES OF WHICH YOU ARE ALSO GUILTY

John 7:24 (AMPC) “ Be honest in your judgment and do not decide at a glance (superficially and by appearances); but judge fairly and righteously.”   Dear people of God, many years ago as a Youth Corper in the Northern part of Nigeria, I was working on a construction site in a village far from the city where 2 trucks were used to convey site workers to and fro the city while I usually followed my boss in his vehicle.   One day, one of the trucks broke down and couldn’t be fixed before closing time and so my boss stayed behind and asked me to use his vehicle to convey some site workers to town and return to convey more people until the one remaining truck could convey all other staff.   It so happened that as I was returning back to site from the first trip, the fuel in the vehicle finished and the vehicle shut down. This was before the mobile telephone came into Nigeria and so I was unable to reach my boss and he was also wondering why I had not returned.   ...
