DO YOU WISH YOURSELF EVIL?

Dear friends, I know the topic of today’s message sounds strange but it is necessary to ask this question because of the way some professing Christians behave. When a Pharisee who was a lawyer asked the Lord Jesus Christ which was the greatest commandment of God, this is what the Lord responded as stated in Matthew 22:37-40, “ You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind (intellect). [Deut. 6:5.] 38 This is the great (most important, principal) and first commandment. 39 And a second is like it: You shall love your neighbour as [you do] yourself. [Lev. 19:18.] 40 These two commandments sum up  and upon them depend all the Law and the Prophets.” Majority of humans who believe in God understand what it means to love God above all else because God is our Creator, Father, Provider, Protector and so on and so forth. On the other hand, very few people understand what it means to love our neighb...

GOD’S WORD ALWAYS PRODUCES MIRACLES

Matthew 9:35-36 (AMPC) “ And Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues and proclaiming the Good news (the Gospel) of the kingdom and curing all kinds of disease and every weakness  and infirmity. 36 When He saw the throngs, He was moved with pity  and sympathy for them, because they were bewildered (harassed and distressed and dejected and helpless), like sheep without a shepherd.” Dear people of God, there are two ways miracles happen in this world: (1) through a move of God’s anointing by the Holy Spirit AS THE SPIRIT WILLS and (2) through anointing in God’s Word in the Holy Bible.   Majority of Christians are aware of the first miracle process while few are aware of the second miracle process. This is the reason why many Christians fail to take study of God’s Word and meditation therein as seriously as they seek miracles at the hands of pastors and men of God. This is also why many Christians fail to b...

WHEN THE TRUTH HURTS

Matthew 10:37-39 (AMPC) “ He who loves [and takes more pleasure in] father or mother more than [in] Me (Jesus Christ) is not worthy of Me; and he who loves [and takes more pleasure in] son or daughter more than [in] Me is not worthy of Me; 38 And he who does not take up his cross and follow Me [cleave steadfastly to Me, conforming wholly to My example in living and, if need be, in dying also] is not worthy of Me. 39 Whoever finds his [lower] life will lose it [the higher life], and whoever loses his [lower] life on My account will find it [the higher life].” Dear people of God, there is a popular saying that “talk is cheap.” I have seen from my life’s experience that a number of people are good at sitting down with their friends to discuss and criticize others either rightly or wrongly. However, when the criticism is directed at the same people who criticise others, they get offended and take exception to it. A friend of mine recently told me how h...

DID GOD NOT WARN US ABOUT THE ESCALATING EVIL OF THE LAST DAYS?

A number of people, Christians inclusive, are expressing surprise at the escalating level of violence, poverty and evil in the present days. In fact, reports have it that nationals of so called third world countries are migrating legally and illegally in droves to so called “safe haven” nations of the world in Europe and North America. Unfortunately for these legal and illegal migrants, however, even these safe haven countries do not guarantee any safety from evil as we also read almost on a daily basis of stabbings, mass shootings, car drive killings, racism happening in these countries. Nowhere appears to be safe even when some claim they would rather run to the safe haven countries to escape the issues of their own nations like a friend of mine told me earlier today as we conversed over the telephone. Let us see what the Word of God says about these last days in Matthew 24:4-7 (AMPC), “ Be careful that no one misleads you [deceiving you and leading you into error]...

DO NOT LET OTHER PEOPLE’S OFFENCES SEND YOU TO AN ETERNAL DAMNATION

There are many things that would send many Christians to an eternal damnation and some of these are subtle. Every single day, people all over the world continue to offend others and this sometimes results in intense quarrels that seem to have no end. Some hold on to grudges and resentment against others and it even causes sicknesses in their bodies for which they are unable to find any cure medically. The Bible tells us in Hebrews 12:14, “ Strive to live in peace with everybody and pursue that consecration  and holiness without which no one will [ever] see the Lord. ” For some Christians, this verse of the Bible appears to be a tall order and so they give a thousand and one reasons why they should disobey it because of the “severity” of the offences committed against them. They justify it and remain in that state of offence and resentment without caring a hoot about the danger ahead. Even when they are warned about the spiritual and even eternal implicatio...
