 Proverbs 14:31; 17:5 (AMPC) “ He who oppresses the poor reproaches, mocks,  and insults his Maker, but he who is kind  and merciful to the needy honors Him (God).” [Prov. 17:5; Matt. 25:40, 45.] “ Whoever mocks the poor reproaches his Maker, and he who is glad at calamity shall not be held innocent or go unpunished.” [Job 31:29; Prov. 14:31; Obad. 12.] Dear people of God, today’s lead Holy Bible is a serious warning to people who oppress others and people who rejoice at the calamity that befalls others. With the level of wickedness and atrocities some commit against others in today’s world, it is very reassuring to note that the oppressed person has the Ultimate Being, God Almighty and Father of my Saviour and Lord Jesus Christ as His Consolation. Mark 11:22-23 (KJV) “ 22 And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God. 23 For verily I say unto you, that whosoever shall say unto this mountain, be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.” Dear people of God, there are a number of sayings used in everyday common conversation that when reviewed against the Truth of God’s Word shows clearly that they are wrong. A typical example is when people say “talk is cheap.” Those who say this are actually saying that action should follow talk and not just talk for the sake of talking.
