THE ONE MIRACLE I WISH COULD HAPPEN

Dear friend, the Word of God states in 2 Peter 3:9, "The Lord does not delay and is not tardy or slow about what He promises, according to some people's conception of slowness, but He is long-suffering (extraordinarily patient) toward you, not desiring that any should perish, but that all should turn to repentance." The Word of God also states in Romans 2:4, "Or are you [so blind as to] trifle with and presume upon and despise and underestimate the wealth of His kindness and forbearance and long-suffering patience? Are you unmindful or actually ignorant [of the fact] that God's kindness is intended to lead you to repent (to change your mind and inner man to accept God's will)?" As you can see, God is patient and long-suffering with us and expects us to shudder at His Word and repent from sin and evil. Therefore, the greatest miracle I would love to see in my life time is for God to change the hearts of all mankind to repent, accept Jesus an...

DO CHRISTIANS AND MUSLIMS WORSHIP THE SAME GOD?

Our Lord Jesus Christ says in Mark 16:15-16, "Go into all the world and preach and publish openly the good news (the Gospel) to every creature [of the whole human race]. 16 He who believes [who adheres to and trusts in and relies on the Gospel and Him Whom it sets forth] and is baptized will be saved [from the penalty of eternal death]; but he who does not believe [who does not adhere to and trust in and rely on the Gospel and Him Whom it sets forth] will be condemned." Given this command from Jesus Christ the King of Kings and Lord of Lords and the eternal consequence of not believing and accepting the Gospel, it is therefore surprising to hear majority of Christians say Muslims and Christians worship the same God. If we worship the same God, why did Jesus command Christians to preach the Gospel to every creature of the human race? The reason Jesus gave that command is because salvation is found only in Him and in His name (Acts 4:12) and no one else. R...

TELLING LIES IN GOD'S NAME

Sometime last year in January 2015, I received a friend request on Facebook from an account of someone whom I had believed at the time was the same prominent Pastor of a very large and well known Church congregation in Nigeria. Shortly after I accepted the friend request, I received another message from the same person stating that God ministered to him concerning me that I had a bright future and that God wanted to bless me more than I could imagine and some evil forces were hindering my blessing. He went on to say that God said I should sow a seed into the life of a new born baby that was born with a brain tumour for my blessings to begin manifestation. I again went to the Pastor's Facebook account to review it to confirm if it was indeed genuine and I saw a number of photos and Church activities therein and I assumed it was indeed this man of God who sent this. So I started searching for a baby with the same condition mentioned to sow the seed. Even though I ne...

JESUS CHRIST THE KING IS COMING (6)

John 6:39-40 –  39 "And this is the will of Him Who sent Me, that I should not lose any of all that He has given Me, but that I should give new life and raise [them all] up at the last day. 40 For this is My Father's will and His purpose, that everyone who sees the Son and believes in and cleaves to and trusts in and relies on Him should have eternal life, and I will raise him up [from the dead] at the last day." Dear people of God, on Sunday December 20, 2015 at a home Prayer meeting, our parish pastor told us of another pastor member of our church whom God raised from the dead some two weeks earlier. The resurrected pastor gave this testimony at a gathering of other pastors where our parish pastor was present and they ate together at that gathering. The pastor who gave the testimony was ill and eventually died in the hospital. Since he is from the South Eastern part of Nigeria, his body was being conveyed by road from Lagos State in South Western N...

JESUS CHRIST THE KING IS COMING (5)

Hebrews 9:28 –  28 Even so it is that Christ, having been offered to take upon Himself and bear as a burden the sins of many once and once for all, will appear a second time, not to carry any burden of sin nor to deal with sin, but to bring to full salvation those who are [eagerly, constantly, and patiently] waiting for and expecting Him. Dear people of God, a story is told of a pastor who stopped very late at night to buy himself some food and then came this prostitute to solicit for the pastor’s patronage and the man ignored her. She kept soliciting and when the man entered his vehicle to move off, he asks the lady, “Do you not know that Jesus is coming soon?” to which the lady responded in local or pidgin English (translated) “it’s not today we have been hearing that Jesus Christ is coming” and off she went disappointed to continue her search for a prospect. As far the lady was concerned, the fact that she had been hearing that Jesus Christ was coming “soon” and ...
