DO CHRISTIANS AND MUSLIMS WORSHIP THE SAME GOD?

Our Lord Jesus Christ says in Mark 16:15-16, "Go into all the world and preach and publish openly the good news (the Gospel) to every creature [of the whole human race].

16 He who believes [who adheres to and trusts in and relies on the Gospel and Him Whom it sets forth] and is baptized will be saved [from the penalty of eternal death]; but he who does not believe [who does not adhere to and trust in and rely on the Gospel and Him Whom it sets forth] will be condemned."

Given this command from Jesus Christ the King of Kings and Lord of Lords and the eternal consequence of not believing and accepting the Gospel, it is therefore surprising to hear majority of Christians say Muslims and Christians worship the same God.

If we worship the same God, why did Jesus command Christians to preach the Gospel to every creature of the human race?

The reason Jesus gave that command is because salvation is found only in Him and in His name (Acts 4:12) and no one else.

Reaching God the Father Almighty is only possible through Jesus Christ and no one else (John 14:6).

Since there is only one God of Heaven and Earth, it therefore follows that one can only reach God and heaven through Jesus Christ the Saviour of the world.

So why do many Christians say Muslims and Christians worship the same God? It is simply because many who profess Christianity are ignorant of their doctrine.

They bear the name Christian because they were born into Christian homes. They have not taken time to know what Christianity is about. This problem actually starts with their parents who also do not bother to teach and model Christianity to their children.

God's Word in the Holy Bible commands parents to diligently obey and teach His Word to their children and grandchildren - Deuteronomy 4:9; 6:6-9.

If Christians spent quality time with their children on spiritual issues and the Word of God in the Holy Bible, their lives and those of their children would most certainly end well because God said we shall not live by bread alone but by every Word He has spoken - Deuteronomy 8:3b; Matthew 4:4.

What do you rather find parents do these days? They are busy chasing money to use to provide material things for their children.

God said when you focus on His Kingdom and His Righteousness, He will provide EVERY material need you have in life - Matthew 6:33.

Since Christian parents are doing the opposite of what God has commanded in His Word, they are unable to access His blessings on earth.

This is why a Christian MUST of necessity focus on God's Word in the Holy Bible to discover, know, obey the precepts therein diligently, obtain the consequent promised blessing and then discover amongst other things whether indeed Christians and Muslims worship the same God.

I will now discuss major differences between Christians and Muslims as a way of enlightening everyone who needs to know the truth about God, Salvation and getting into heaven.

(1) The foundation of Christianity is that Jesus Christ has a Divine nature as well as a human nature when He was on earth for 33 years of His life.

In His human nature, Jesus Christ came to suffer, shed His precious blood and die for every human being's sins on the Cross of Calvary.

Jesus had to shed His blood and die because under God's law, blood is required for the remission of sins and cancellation of the punishment due for sin - Hebrews 9:22 (AMP).

Jesus had to do this to destroy what the devil or satan did at the beginning of creation when he deceived Adam and Eve into disobeying God's command not to eat the fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil - Genesis 3.

That single act of disobedience by Adam and Eve introduced sin and death into the world, cut mankind off from God and destined mankind to eternal punishment in HELL.

Jesus' death on the Cross of Calvary through shedding His precious blood destroyed satan's plan to send all mankind to HELL with him, his demons and their agents, obtained forgiveness from God for our sins, reconciled mankind to God and opened the doors of Heaven to all who qualify.

Jesus confirmed what He said by resurrecting from death on the third day.

This is the Gospel or Good News of Salvation and every human being who believes it, accepts it and receives it qualifies to enter heaven.

However, it is pertinent to note that salvation by Jesus Christ is for all mankind and even after accepting the Gospel, a Christian MUST know and obey God's commands in the Holy Bible as the final condition to enter heaven.

Muslims do not believe the Gospel. Muslims teach as stated in their qu’ran that Jesus Christ did not die on the Cross of Calvary but that God exchanged Him for another person and took Jesus to heaven.

Dear friend, can you see how satan is still manipulating people into rejecting the Gospel of Repentance and Salvation in Jesus Christ?

If Jesus Christ did not die to shed His precious blood for our sins, mankind would have been doomed forever. Thank God for what He did in our Lord Jesus Christ!!

(2) God's Word is found in written form in only one place, the Holy Bible. Muslims believe only the qu’ran.

(3) Jesus Christ is the Son of God and therefore has a Divine nature. The Holy Bible teaches clearly that God in His immense love gave His Son to the world to die for our sins and whoever believes in Him will not perish but have everlasting life - John 3:16.

The Bible further states that whoever believes in Jesus Christ is not judged and condemned but whoever refuses to believe in Jesus Christ is judged and condemned already for refusing to believe in the name of God's Son - John 3:18.

Muslims believe Jesus Christ is a prophet of God and God has no son.

(4) God's Word in the Holy Bible teaches that a Christian must have only one wife. Islam practised by the Muslims teaches that a man can marry more than one woman and as many as 4 as long as he can love them all equally.

(5) Christians worship God everyday collectively and individually and as a corporate body on Sundays.

Muslims worship 5 times every day and as a corporate body on Fridays.

(6) Christians worship in a Church while Muslims worship in a Mosque.

(7) Christianity teaches love as the basis for Christianity in the Holy Bible while Islam teaches violence as currently witnessed all over the world in nations where Islam is practised.

There are many ignorant Christians who agree with ignorant Muslims that there is also violence in the Holy Bible and they quote verses in the Old testament to support their claims.

For sake of clarification, let us note that the old testament was the old law practised under Judaism and with the coming of Jesus Christ as the founder of Christianity or the New Testament or new law, love became the foundation for the New Law - 1 John 4:7-12.

Muslims usually deny that the qu’ran does not teach violence and that people who practise violence are not Muslims and that Islam is a religion of peace.

Meanwhile, there are many verses in the qu’ran that point to and confirm that violence and terror is the means by which Islam spread and continues to spread till this day.

I admonish Muslims and anyone reading this post to perform a simple search on the Internet under the topic QUR'AN VERSES ON VIOLENCE and you would see how many verses would come up to confirm what I am saying here.

In fact, Islam teaches that the more one fights and kills for the cause of Islam, the greater the person's reward in their "paradise."

Our Lord Jesus Christ prophesied about what is happening in today's world courtesy of Islamic teachings.

Jesus Christ tells us in John 16:1-4, "I have told you all these things, so that you should not be offended (taken unawares and falter, or be caused to stumble and fall away). [I told you to keep you from being scandalized and repelled.]

2 They will put you out of (expel you from) the synagogues; but an hour is coming when whoever kills you will think and claim that he has offered service to God.

3 And they will do this because they have not known the Father or Me.

4 But I have told you these things now, so that when they occur you will remember that I told you of them. I did not say these things to you from the beginning, because I was with you."

Dear friend, this is what is now happening everywhere Islamic terrorists are operating just like our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ said would happen.

Islamic terrorists operating as the qu’ran has commanded them are killing people in the name of fighting for their god to Islamise the world.

This is also why people can leave their countries in seemingly safe havens in Europe and North America and migrate to go, join and fight wars in the Middle East.

This is exactly what the qu’ran teaches that it is either you fight or give your resources to the cause of Islam and their god and there is a very great reward for all who so do especially those who die fighting.

This is the origin of the suicide bombings we see Islamic terrorists engage in all over the areas where they operate.

Unfortunately for them, dear friend, when they die and enter into eternity, every single one of them has found themselves in HELL FIRE where they will spend their eternity and there is no further hope of coming out of there again to have a second chance.

This is exactly what satan wants to achieve and this is why it would continue to happen as long as satan is in charge of this world.

Dear friend, with all I have stated here in this post, I will now ask you, do you still think Christians and Muslims worship the same God?

Remember there is only one God Almighty and since God is a perfect God of order and no confusion, how can He, a perfect God introduce so much confusion into the lives of humans with two major religions and so many other religions teaching so many contradicting things?

The truth is that there is only one perfect God Who created the Universe, the Heavens and Earth and every single creature in all of them.

God is perfect in all His Ways; He is Holy, Righteous and Just and can never do wrong.

Since this is the case, it therefore means that God can only do perfect things and every imperfect thing has its origin with satan the evil one.

It also therefore means that there is only one road to heaven, there is only one Way to God Almighty and His name is called Jesus Christ, the King of Kings, the Lord of Lords, the Alpha, the Omega, the Beginning, the End, the First, the Last, the Great I Am, Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.

Truth be told, dear friend, Christians and Muslims and all others do not worship the same God.

The One and Only true God of Heaven is the God of the Christians and you can only reach Him through our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

If after all I have stated here you still find it difficult to believe, I leave you with only two options - you can pray sincerely and ask Jesus Christ to confirm to you if what I have said here is true or not.

If you do I can assure you that Jesus Christ will respond because He does not want you to end up with satan and other sinners in HELL.

The second option is for you to continue to hold on to your current beliefs but dear friend, I can assure you that every human being who has died holding a belief other than what is stated in God's Word in the Holy Bible is today regretting it in HELL FIRE, and in that dark and smelly place of eternal damnation and torment, there is no further hope of repentance.

Jesus Christ always tells them the same thing - IT IS TOO LATE.

They all had the chance just like you reading this has now to repent, confess your sins, accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour of their lives and obey His Word in the Holy Bible but they chose to disregard, disbelieve, reject, mock and ignore it.

Dear friend, I beg you, do not tow the same line because I am sure of what I am saying about the consequences.

Please do not say nobody told you.

May the good Lord bless and prosper you as you heed His Holy Word today, accept it and share with others in the Mighty Name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Saviour, Amen.
