THERE IS ONLY ONE GOSPEL

2 Timothy 4:2-4 (AMPC) “ Herald  and preach the Word! Keep your sense of urgency [stand by, be at hand and ready], whether the opportunity seems to be favo u rable or unfavo u rable. [Whether it is convenient or inconvenient, whether it is welcome or unwelcome, you as preacher of the Word are to show people in what way their lives are wrong.] And convince them, rebuking  and correcting, warning  and urging  and encouraging them, being unflagging  and inexhaustible in patience and teaching.   3 For the time is coming when [people] will not tolerate (endure) sound  and wholesome instruction, but, having ears itching [for something pleasing and gratifying], they will gather to themselves one teacher after another to a considerable number, chosen to satisfy their own liking  and to foster the errors they hold,   4 And will turn aside from hearing the truth and wander off into myths  and man-made fictions.”   Dear people...

NO PLACE FOR SIN IN CHRIST JESUS

Colossians 1:22-23 (AMPC)   “Yet now has [Christ, the Messiah] reconciled [you to God] in the body of His flesh through death, in order to present you holy and faultless and irreproachable in His [the Father's] presence.   23 [And this He will do] provided that you continue to stay with  and in the faith [in Christ], well-grounded and settled  and steadfast, not shifting  or moving away from the hope [which rests on and is inspired by] the glad tidings (the Gospel), which you heard and which has been preached [as being designed for and offered without restrictions] to every person under heaven,”   Dear people of God, the Gospel of Christ Jesus is about preaching the Truth of the Good News to make people realise they have not been living right as far as God is concerned, genuine repentance from sin, confessing and forsaking sin, accepting Jesus Christ as Saviour and Lord and a committed life thereafter in righteousness and holy living.   The r...

ENTICING OR PROVOKING OTHERS TO SIN

Luke 17:1-2 (AMPC)   “AND [Jesus] said to His disciples, Temptations (snares, traps set to entice to sin) are sure to come, but woe to him by  or through whom they come!   2 It would be more profitable for him if a millstone were hung around his neck and he were hurled into the sea than that he should cause to sin  or be a snare to one of these little ones [lowly in rank or influence].   Dear people of God, there are many ways a person could entice or provoke others to sin, some of which include the under listed:   (1)  Provocative dressing as seen in ladies (2)  A lecturer threatening a student to sleep with him to obtain pass mark in examinations (3)  A parent directing the child not to exchange greetings with a neighbour with whom the parent has had a quarrel (4)  An office supervisor asking the subordinate to falsify records or engage in fraudulent acts for personal interests (5)  A pastor pressuring a single or married fem...
