WHOM YOU SHOULD FOLLOW

Romans 11:29 (AMPC) “ For God's gifts and His call are irrevocable. [He never withdraws them when once they are given, and He does not change His mind about those to whom He gives His grace or to whom He sends His call.]”   Dear friend, as is usual with most of us, we would have reflected over 2024 and made some resolutions, goals and commitments for 2025.   My simple advice to everyone reading this message today is that you include the Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of God, the Messiah and Master of the Universe in whatever plans you have for 2025.   You must include Jesus Christ because He is the ONLY person Who would never mislead you because of His unfailing love for you as your Creator and God.   You must therefore follow Him wholeheartedly by diligent study, meditation, obedience and action on His Word in the Holy Bible. When you do this, you can be sure that your every prayer would be answered because He has said for you to ask God the Father anything in His (Jesu...

THE COST OF DISCIPLESHIP OF JESUS CHRIST (2)

2 Timothy 2:3-7 (AMPC)    “ Take [with me] your share of the hardships  and suffering [which you are called to endure] as a good (first-class) soldier of Christ Jesus.   4 No soldier when in service gets entangled in the enterprises of [civilian] life; his aim is to satisfy  and please the one who enlisted him.   5 And if anyone enters competitive games, he is not crowned unless he competes lawfully (fairly, according to the rules laid down).   6 [It is] the hard-working farmer [who labo u rs to produce] who must be the first partaker of the fruits.   7 Think over these things I am saying [understand them and grasp their application], for the Lord will grant you full insight  and understanding in everything.”   Dear people of God, following the Lord Jesus Christ as a disciple is not as easy and straightforward as many Christians of today believe and understand.   We saw in the first part of the post on this topic...

THE COST OF DISCIPLESHIP OF JESUS CHRIST

Revelation 5:15-19 (AMPC)  “ I (Jesus Christ) know your [record of] works  and what you are doing; you are neither cold nor hot. Would that you were cold or hot!   16 So, because you are lukewarm and neither cold nor hot, I will spew you out of My mouth!   17 For you say, I am rich; I have prospered  and grown wealthy, and I am in need of nothing; and you do not realize  and understand that you are wretched, pitiable, poor, blind, and naked. [Hos. 12:8.]   18 Therefore I counsel you to purchase from Me gold refined  and tested by fire, that you may be [truly] wealthy, and white clothes to clothe you and to keep the shame of your nudity from being seen, and salve to put on your eyes, that you may see.   19 Those whom I [dearly and tenderly] love, I tell their faults and convict  and convince  and reprove and chasten [I discipline and instruct them]. So be enthusiastic  and in earnest  and burning with ze...

JESUS CHRIST IS GOD

John 16:28 (AMPC)  “ 28  I came out from the Father and have come into the world; again, I am leaving the world and going to the Father.”   Dear people of God, there is a group of Christians who say Jesus Christ is the Son of God but not God.   In today’s lead Holy Bible text, the Lord Jesus says He came out from the Father and came into the world. What does this mean? It simply means He was within the Father before He came out into the world.   This, of course, is why Jesus is called the Word of God as stated in John 1:1.   As a man here on earth, see what the Lord Jesus said in His prayer to God in John 17:5, “And now, Father, glorify Me along with Yourself  and restore Me to such majesty  and honor in Your presence as I had with You before the world existed.”   Here we see clearly that Jesus refers to His Divinity because He made reference to the fact that He had majesty and honor in God’s presence before the world existed.   Even tho...

HOW DOES JESUS VIEW YOU? (2)

John 12:42-43 (AMPC) “ And yet [in spite of all this] many even of the leading men (the authorities and the nobles) believed  and trusted in Him (Jesus Christ). But because of the Pharisees they did not confess it, for fear that [if they should acknowledge Him] they would be expelled from the synagogue;   43 For they loved the approval  and the praise  and the glory that come from men [instead of and] more than the glory that comes from God. [They valued their credit with men more than their credit with God.]”   Dear people of God, whenever you are in the midst of non-Christians, are you able to openly declare that you are a Christian? Does your lifestyle prove that you are a Christian, a follower of Jesus Christ?   A number of us are like the leading men of the city in today’s lead Holy Bible text whose profession of Christ is only when they are in Church or the privacy of their home.   Once they step outside, they are shy or feel ashamed talking...

HOW DOES JESUS VIEW YOU?

Luke 6:46-49 (AMPC) “Why do you call Me, Lord, Lord, and do not [practi s e] what I tell you?   47 For everyone who comes to Me and listens to My Words [in order to heed their teaching] and does them, I will show you what he is like:   48 He is like a man building a house, who dug and went down deep and laid a foundation upon the rock; and when a flood arose, the torrent broke against that house and could not shake  or move it, because it had been securely built  or founded on a rock .   49 But he who merely hears and does not practi s e doing My Words is like a man who built a house on the ground without a foundation, against which the torrent burst, and immediately it collapsed  and fell, and the breaking  and ruin of that house was great.”     Dear people of God, every Christian knows and agrees that Jesus Christ is his or her Saviour and rightly so. However, from today’s lead Holy Bible text, not every Christian has Jesus C...
