HOW DOES JESUS VIEW YOU? (2)

John 12:42-43 (AMPC)
“And yet [in spite of all this] many even of the leading men (the authorities and the nobles) believed and trusted in Him (Jesus Christ). But because of the Pharisees they did not confess it, for fear that [if they should acknowledge Him] they would be expelled from the synagogue;
 
43 For they loved the approval and the praise and the glory that come from men [instead of and] more than the glory that comes from God. [They valued their credit with men more than their credit with God.]”
 
Dear people of God, whenever you are in the midst of non-Christians, are you able to openly declare that you are a Christian? Does your lifestyle prove that you are a Christian, a follower of Jesus Christ?
 
A number of us are like the leading men of the city in today’s lead Holy Bible text whose profession of Christ is only when they are in Church or the privacy of their home.
 
Once they step outside, they are shy or feel ashamed talking about their faith.
 
Yet, we are witnesses to how non-Christians openly showcase what they believe in.
 
I have even heard of some who converted from Christianity to other religions just to get contracts or win monetary favours. I met one such person a few years ago who said he was initially getting favours when he converted from Christianity to another religion.
 
But when I met him, he was experiencing financial difficulties and was desperately searching for help.
 
So it means what he trusted in having denied his faith in Jesus Christ had failed him, which was very unfortunate.
 
As a Christian, your duty is to first have a personal relationship with Jesus through study and obedience of His Word in the Holy Bible, experience the power of this relationship and share proof of your experience with others through Evangelism.
 
When you limit your relationship with God only to your home and Church, you are depriving others from knowing the Truth of the Gospel and Jesus would certainly not be happy with you.
 
It is only Jesus Christ Who can provide all your needs. No human being can help you or save you so perish the thought that someone can harm you or sack you or deprive you of the goodies of life when you stand openly for Jesus Christ.
 
When you have only men’s approval, it is not complete because you would certainly be following the wrong path. However, when you diligently seek and have God’s approval, then all is well here on earth and hereafter.
 
Therefore, seek God’s approval always and then tell others by your words and the example of your lifestyle guided by God’s commandments in the Holy Bible.
 
May the good Lord bless you as you heed His Word today, act on it and share with others in Jesus’ Most Holy Name, Amen.
