AM I PERMITTED TO JUDGE CHRISTIANS?

1 Corinthians 5:9-13 (AMPC)   “ I wrote you in my [previous] letter not to associate [closely and habitually] with unchaste (impure) people–   10 Not [meaning of course that you must] altogether shun the immoral people of this world, or the greedy graspers and cheats and thieves or idolaters, since otherwise you would need to get out of the world and human society altogether!   11 But now I write to you not to associate with anyone who bears the name of [Christian] brother if he is known to be guilty of immorality or greed, or is an idolater [whose soul is devoted to any object that usurps the place of God], or is a person with a foul tongue [railing, abusing, reviling, slandering], or is a drunkard or a swindler or a robber. [No] you must not so much as eat with such a person.   12 What [business] of mine is it and what right have I to judge outsiders? Is it not those inside [the church] upon whom you are to pass disciplinary judgm...

HOW DO YOU TREAT THE ASSIGNMENT GOD HAS GIVEN YOU?

JEREMIAH 48:10 (AMPC)   “Cursed be he who does the work of the Lord negligently [with slackness, deceitfully]; and cursed be he who keeps back his sword from blood [in executing judgment pronounced by the Lord].”     Dear people of God, every Christian is commissioned by Christ Jesus into ministry to take the Gospel to all nations (Mark 16:15-16).   Everyone has their individual roles given by the Holy Spirit as apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors and teachers for the equipping of the saints (Christians) for the work of ministry.   Unfortunately, many take this all-important work of God for granted because for them it is optional while chasing money to solve their earthly problems is of more value.   As far as God is concerned, absolutely nothing in this world is more important than the salvation of the souls of all humans.   God can surely do without anyone to accomplish His Divine purpose. However, He has chosen in His Divine plan to wor...

WHAT JESUS CHRIST ACCOMPLISHED FOR MANKIND AT THE CROSS OF CALVARY

Dear friend, in spite of the global coronavirus pandemic, Christians all over the world are commemorating one of the greatest events known to mankind, which is the death and resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ as He had foretold and accomplished some 1,986 years ago. Fortunately for mankind, Jesus Christ accomplished so many things for us, which, though available to all mankind is unfortunately, only accessible and appropriated by Christians. It would shock you to know that a large number of Christians are not aware of these benefits Christ accomplished for them and how to appropriate them, which is why they pass through life ignorantly and are dealt with harshly by the devil, demons and their human agents. Of course all Christians know, believe, accept and confess the fact that Jesus Christ died for their sins and took it all away. This is what makes anyone a Christian and this is as long as the person continues to remain steadfast to living in uncompromisingly ri...

THE DANGER OF MAKING MAN YOUR GOD

The Word of God tells us in Jeremiah 17:5-8 (AMPC), “Thus says the Lord: Cursed [with great evil] is the strong man who trusts in  and relies on frail man, making weak [human] flesh his arm, and whose mind  and heart turn aside from the Lord. 6 For he shall be like a shrub  or a person naked and destitute in the desert; and he shall not see any good come, but shall dwell in the parched places in the wilderness, in an uninhabited salt land. 7 [Most] blessed is the man who believes in, trusts in,  and relies on the Lord, and whose hope  and confidence the Lord is. 8 For he shall be like a tree planted by the waters that spreads out its roots by the river; and it shall not see  and fear when heat comes; but its leaf shall be green. It shall not be anxious  and full of care in the year of drought, nor shall it cease yielding fruit.” During our evangelism outreach today, we had course to discuss with a man who said he had s...

HOW DO YOU IDENTIFY SOUND GOSPEL TEACHING?

2 Timothy 4:3-4 (AMPC) “ For the time is coming when [people] will not tolerate (endure) sound and wholesome instruction, but, having ears itching [for something pleasing and gratifying], they will gather to themselves one teacher after another to a considerable number, chosen to satisfy their own liking and to foster the errors they hold, 4 And will turn aside from hearing the truth and wander off into myths  and man-made fictions.” Dear people of God, we are currently living in the era the Word of God in today’s lead text above refers. There are many ministers of the Gospel today who have not been called by God but are trying to help God and they then get themselves entangled with the devil. As a result, not only do they preach the wrong doctrine but they also practice wrongdoing as a result of not being grounded in God’s Word. I have an elderly friend with whom I share the Gospel on a regular basis and whenever he hears me preach about rig...
