WHAT JESUS CHRIST ACCOMPLISHED FOR MANKIND AT THE CROSS OF CALVARY

Dear friend, in spite of the global coronavirus pandemic, Christians all over the world are commemorating one of the greatest events known to mankind, which is the death and resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ as He had foretold and accomplished some 1,986 years ago.

Fortunately for mankind, Jesus Christ accomplished so many things for us, which, though available to all mankind is unfortunately, only accessible and appropriated by Christians.

It would shock you to know that a large number of Christians are not aware of these benefits Christ accomplished for them and how to appropriate them, which is why they pass through life ignorantly and are dealt with harshly by the devil, demons and their human agents.

Of course all Christians know, believe, accept and confess the fact that Jesus Christ died for their sins and took it all away.

This is what makes anyone a Christian and this is as long as the person continues to remain steadfast to living in uncompromisingly righteous obedience to God’s commands in the Holy Bible.

Let me now list out a few other benefits the Lord Jesus Christ acquired for us at Calvary.

(1)        Deliverance from the control and dominion of ALL powers of darkness represented by the devil, demons and their human agents – Colossians 1:13-14; 2:14-15

(2)        Authority over ALL powers of the devil and his agents that can ONLY be exercised using the Name of Jesus Christ. Just give the agents of darkness a command in the Name of Jesus Christ and they would flee instantly.

(3)        Deliverance from and Authority over ALL sicknesses and diseases by whatever name caused by the devil – Matthew 8:17; 1 Peter 2:24; Acts 1-:38.

You must understand this, dear friend, that ALL sicknesses and diseases by whatever name is caused by the devil and not God. Yes, God may allow it to happen like the current coronavirus pandemic but it is the devil that causes it because there is no sickness or disease in heaven where God’s throne is.

God Himself has told us that His thought towards us and plans for us is of good and peace and not of evil, to bring us to an expected end – Jeremiah 29:11.

As God has described this as His thought towards us, can the same God afflict us with sickness and then proceed to heal us again?

Certainly not.

Sicknesses and diseases whether directly or indirectly is caused by the devil and we can see a clear evidence of this in the Bible Book of Job Chapters 1 and 2.

However, unlike Job who was not able to exercise authority over sickness because Jesus had not yet come to die for us and rise again, all Christian believers, whether old or new are given authority by God.

Just study and stand on the Scriptures I shared earlier above using the Name of Jesus Christ to command the sickness and it would go because the foul spirit causing sickness and disease must obey Jesus Name.


(4)        Divine protection from ALL the devil’s fiery darts when you operate with the shield of faith using God’s Word, the Sword of the Spirit, as weapons against the devil – Ephesians 6:16-17; 1 John 5:18-19.

(5)        Divine provision of all our needs when we FIRST focus on, pursue and practise the requirements of God’s Kingdom and His righteousness – Matthew 6:33-34.  

(6)        Answer to ALL our prayers as proof of our connection with Jesus as His children when we abide in Him and His Word abides in us – John 15:7-8; 1 John 5:14-15.

Abiding in Christ means you live an UNCOMPROMISINGLY righteous life in obedience to Jesus’ commands.

Jesus’ Word abiding in you means you study, meditate, believe, obey and do what the Word says in the Bible.

Dear friend, are you aware of any human need that is missing from this list? Absolutely not!

As I stated earlier, these benefits are available to every human being but on the CONDITION that the person becomes a Christian.

It is God Who set that condition and no human or demon spirit can change it.

You become a Christian by realizing that you are not living right presently and God is not happy with you, sincerely repenting of sin, then going to God in prayer to confess the sins, forsaking the sins, and committing to live right in line with God’s Word and actual performance of the commitment of obedience to God.

My prayer is that all Christians would see this message and first thank God, praise and worship Him and then appropriate what belongs to them in Christ as His children.

My prayer is that all Christians having tested, proven and obtained the benefits of being Christians would inform non-Christians by evangelism why following Jesus Christ is the ONLY acceptable way to God.

There is no other way no matter what anyone else is saying.

Finally, my prayer is that all non-Christians would see this message and come to realise that no human can successfully navigate this world and overcome all the devices of the devil and his agents EXCEPT you belong to Jesus Christ.

Jesus Christ is THE WAY, THE TRUTH AND THE LIFE. No human can reach God EXCEPT through Jesus Christ.

This means no human can enter heaven when he or she departs this world except through Jesus Christ.

All glory, honour and praise be to God Almighty our Father, His Son our Lord Jesus Christ and to the Holy Spirit Who alone are worthy of all adoration for this great act of love given to all mankind at the Cross of Calvary.

May the good Lord bless you as you heed His Word today, act on it and share with others in Jesus’ Most Powerful Name, Amen.
