Dear friend, we have entered what is known worldwide as Christmas, the best season in the world. It is the best season in the world because the season commemorates the first coming of Jesus Christ the Messiah, in fulfillment of God’s promise to send a Saviour into the world to redeem mankind from the eternal consequence of sin. Sin and death entered the world as a result of the disobedience of our first parents Adam and Eve to a simple command from God to them. The devil was the brain behind the evil scheme that led to sin and death entering the world when he deceived, first Eve and then Adam into eating the forbidden fruit as God had commanded them not to eat. Mankind was thus spiritually separated from God and destined to an eternal damnation in Hell, prepared originally by God for the devil and his demons – Matthew 25:41.
