John 16:28 (AMPC) “ 28 I came out from the Father and have come into the world; again, I am leaving the world and going to the Father.” Dear people of God, there is a group of Christians who say Jesus Christ is the Son of God but not God. In today’s lead Holy Bible text, the Lord Jesus says He came out from the Father and came into the world. What does this mean? It simply means He was within the Father before He came out into the world. This, of course, is why Jesus is called the Word of God as stated in John 1:1. As a man here on earth, see what the Lord Jesus said in His prayer to God in John 17:5, “And now, Father, glorify Me along with Yourself and restore Me to such majesty and honor in Your presence as I had with You before the world existed.” Here we see clearly that Jesus refers to His Divinity because He made reference to the fact that He had majesty and honor in God’s presence before the world existed.
