CASTING YOUR CARES UPON THE LORD
What does it mean to cast your cares upon the Lord? What does God’s Word say about this? Let us examine 1 Peter 5:7 (AMPC), “ Casting the whole of your care [all your anxieties, all your worries, all your concerns, once and for all] on Him (Jesus Christ), for He cares for you affectionately and cares about you watchfully. ” This looks so simple, doesn’t it? But I can tell you that it is one of the most difficult tasks for a human being to undertake, which is, living a worry-free life. Even when as a Christian you try to live such a life, the people around you – family, relatives, friends, neighbours, acquaintances would all believe that something is wrong with you because you do not worry over anything in life.
