THE DANGER OF DISOBEDIENCE

The online dictionary defines disobedience as “ failure or refusal to obey rules or someone in authority”. The world is facing all the calamities today because of an act of disobedience to God’s commands. Thousands of years ago, God gave a simple instruction to Adam and Eve to eat of the fruit of every tree in the Garden of Eden except the tree of the knowledge of good and evil in the middle of the Garden. Only God knows for how long Adam and Eve kept this instruction until one day when the devil came and deceived Eve into disobeying God and Eve also made her husband Adam disobey God as well – Genesis 2:16-17; 3:1-12. The rest as they say is history, for today, humans are paying dearly for this avoidable act of disobedience. Not only did Adam and Eve and indeed all mankind descended from them die spiritually, all mankind is destined to die physically as well. Many people, Christians inclusive, do not bother to consider in their minds through meditation the gravity of the si...

HOW DO YOU DETERMINE GOD’S WILL ON ANY MATTER?

There are people who pray to God on a matter and usually end it with the phrase, “please grant this request if it is according to your will.” Let us see what the Bible says in 1 John 5:14-15, “And this is the confidence (the assurance, the privilege of boldness) which we have in Him: [we are sure] that if we ask anything (make any request) according to His will (in agreement with His own plan), He listens to and hears us. 15 And if (since) we [positively] know that He listens to us in whatever we ask, we also know [with settled and absolute knowledge] that we have [granted us as our present possessions] the requests made of Him.” Drawing from this Scripture reference, we know for sure that God’s will is His own plan and that God would grant any prayer that is according to His will. So is the person making a request to God and ending it with “please grant if according to your will” praying correctly? If you pray 3 times a day as a I do most times, it means you pray ab...

LET YOUR PROBLEMS TAKE YOU TO JESUS CHRIST

Matthew 11:28-29 “Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy-laden  and overburdened, and I will cause you to rest. [I will ease and relieve and refresh your souls.] 29 Take My yoke upon you and learn of Me, for I am gentle (meek) and humble (lowly) in heart, and you will find rest (relief and ease and refreshment and recreation and blessed quiet) for your souls.” Dear people of God, a friend of mine told me a true story his brother told him of a lady working in the same multi-national corporation (well known) with him. This lady was a senior executive and one day she invited my friend’s brother’s boss and other ladies to a meeting. At this meeting, she mentioned to them that she was formally inviting them to join a secret cult whose members control the activities of the corporation and other well-known ones around the world and that they needed to join the cult so that they too could advance in their career. She said her husband though not working was flying first clas...

DID GOD NOT WARN US ABOUT THE ESCALATING EVIL OF THE LAST DAYS?

A number of people, Christians inclusive, are expressing surprise at the escalating level of violence, poverty and evil in the present days. In fact, reports have it that nationals of so called third world countries are migrating legally and illegally in droves to so called “safe haven” nations of the world in Europe and North America. Unfortunately for these legal and illegal migrants, however, even these safe haven countries do not guarantee any safety from evil as we also read almost on a daily basis of stabbings, mass shootings, car drive killings, racism happening in these countries. Nowhere appears to be safe even when some claim they would rather run to the safe haven countries to escape the issues of their own nations like a friend of mine told me earlier today as we conversed over the telephone. Let us see what the Word of God says about these last days in Matthew 24:4-7 (AMPC), “ Be careful that no one misleads you [deceiving you and leading you into error]...
