THE DANGER OF DISOBEDIENCE

The online dictionary defines disobedience as “failure or refusal to obey rules or someone in authority”.

The world is facing all the calamities today because of an act of disobedience to God’s commands.

Thousands of years ago, God gave a simple instruction to Adam and Eve to eat of the fruit of every tree in the Garden of Eden except the tree of the knowledge of good and evil in the middle of the Garden.

Only God knows for how long Adam and Eve kept this instruction until one day when the devil came and deceived Eve into disobeying God and Eve also made her husband Adam disobey God as well – Genesis 2:16-17; 3:1-12.

The rest as they say is history, for today, humans are paying dearly for this avoidable act of disobedience.

Not only did Adam and Eve and indeed all mankind descended from them die spiritually, all mankind is destined to die physically as well.

Many people, Christians inclusive, do not bother to consider in their minds through meditation the gravity of the sinful act of disobedience.

If someone in authority instructs you to handle a task or keep an instruction and you fail to do so, that is an act of disobedience that usually attracts a sanction in many cases.

For a disobedient child, it could result to calamity for him and his family even up to death. It could be result in pregnancy for a female or a jail term for the male and female.

For a disobedient employee, it would result in termination of employment.

For a disobedient Christian, it would result in enormous suffering here on earth and eternal damnation in Hell – Matthew 25:41-46.

For the disobedient non-Christian, the same applies as for the Christian.

The Bible contains numerous incidents of how disobedience to God’s commandments led to hardship and severe punishment for the Israelites who were God’s chosen people.

For every time they disobeyed God, He would send prophets to warn them severally and when they failed to repent and amend their ways and return to the right path of obedience, God would allow their enemies to invade their land and take them away as prisoners.

Is there anything meaningful to gain from disobedience? Absolutely nothing.

For as the Word of God says in Proverbs 14:12 and 16:25 (AMPC), “There is a way which seems right to a man and appears straight before him, but at the end of it is the way of death.”

Dear friend, God is merciful but He is also righteous and just and does not tolerate disobedience to His commands.

No matter how trivial you believe that act of yours is, be sure to know that once it violates God’s commandments, it carries a damnable consequence with it.

It is better to know what God says on any and every matter through His Word in the Holy Bible before you dabble into it so that you would not end up on the road of regret and eternal damnation eventually.

Never say it is too late for me to come out of sinful disobedience and into obedience to God.

No!!!

The only time it is too late is when one dies and leaves this world.

As you read this, dear friend, God Almighty and Father of my Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ may be giving you the final warning before your time is up.

Do not allow the devil deceive you into error and permanent regret.

Jesus loves you and is calling you to come out of sin into His righteous kingdom through acceptance of Him as your Saviour and Lord, and obedience to His commandments.

Jesus Christ is coming NOW to take in Rapture ONLY those who are ready and waiting for Him.
