1 Corinthians 1:9 (AMPC)   “ God is faithful (reliable, trustworthy, and therefore ever true to His promise, and He can be depended on); by Him you were called into companionship  and participation with His Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.”   Dear people of God, I want to share with you another exciting testimony of the faithfulness of God to His promises in His Word.   Over and over again, I have seen this happen and I thank God immensely for who He is – a loving Father and a God of integrity.   On Saturday night of January 25, 2020 as I was on my way to having a haircut, I received a call from a friend of mine who told me he was still ill despite several visits to the hospital since December 10, 2019 when he first noticed his condition.   I knew he was ill but I did not know how serious it was until he told me that Saturday night. 1 Timothy 2:8    “ I desire therefore that in every place men should pray, without anger  or quarreling  or resentment or doubt [in their minds], lifting up holy hands.”   Dear people of God, prayer is a necessity for anyone who would successfully navigate the challenges of this life.   You cannot measure a person’s success in life just by material things because there are very many wealthy people whose lives are in severe crisis, e.g. marital squabbles, health challenges, insomnia, unruly kids, fear of death (Thanatophobia), fear of failure (Atychiphobia), fear of air travel (Aerophobia), etc.   With prayer to God in faith and trust, every human being would surely obtain that peace of mind that surpasses all understanding as God’s Word says in Philippians 4:6-7.   However, today’s main Holy Bible text shows there are hindrances to prayer that everyone should first deal with before going to God in prayer.   These are listed as anger, quarreli...

1 Samuel 30:6 (AMPC)  “ David was greatly distressed, for the men spoke of stoning him because the souls of them all were bitterly grieved, each man for his sons and daughters. But David encouraged  and strengthened himself in the Lord His God.”   Dear people of God, there are many issues in this world that cause distress for human beings. The most common one is money.   Another one is sickness. In today’s lead Holy Bible text, David and his men were distressed because their family were abducted by the Amalekites.   It is stated here that as part of the measures to resolve his problem, David encouraged and strengthened himself in the Lord His God.   David went further by enquiring of God what next to do and God told him to go after the Amalekites and that he would recover all he and his men had lost.   David did exactly what God told him and he recovered all as God had promised – 1 Samuel 30:7-19.   In today’s world unfortunately, many have a diff...

Luke 23:35 (AMPC)    “ Now the people stood by [calmly and leisurely] watching; but the rulers scoffed  and sneered (turned up their noses) at Him, saying, He rescued others [from death]; let Him now rescue Himself, if He is the Christ (the Messiah) of God, His Chosen One!”   Dear people of God, sometime in late October 2019, the news media was trending about a popular American Rap musician Kanye West becoming a “born again” Christian and claiming that he would no longer sing any other songs except the Gospel genre.   Kanye had just released an album entitled “Jesus is King”  with songs focusing on his relationship with God and his fight with the devil that features some rap and gospel songs.   I have not listened to the album because as a Christian, I am not supposed to listen to such rap songs.   The main point I am trying to bring out here is that while Kanye West had RIGHTLY stated that he would stop singing rap music because it is the devil’s...
