There are people who pray to God on a matter and usually end it with the phrase, “please grant this request if it is according to your will.” Let us see what the Bible says in 1 John 5:14-15, “And this is the confidence (the assurance, the privilege of boldness) which we have in Him: [we are sure] that if we ask anything (make any request) according to His will (in agreement with His own plan), He listens to and hears us. 15 And if (since) we [positively] know that He listens to us in whatever we ask, we also know [with settled and absolute knowledge] that we have [granted us as our present possessions] the requests made of Him.” Drawing from this Scripture reference, we know for sure that God’s will is His own plan and that God would grant any prayer that is according to His will. Experts have stated that humans think between 12,000 to 60,000 thoughts every day. It is also estimated that about 80% of these thoughts are negative while 95% are repetitive. A repetitive thought means the same thought that comes a second, third or more times. A negative thought is one that is focused on something wrong and a wrong assumption even when the thing has not happened.
