HOW DO YOU TREAT THE ASSIGNMENT GOD HAS GIVEN YOU?
JEREMIAH 48:10 (AMPC)
“Cursed be he who does the work of the
Lord negligently [with slackness, deceitfully]; and cursed be he who keeps back
his sword from blood [in executing judgment pronounced by the Lord].”
Dear people of God, every Christian is commissioned by Christ
Jesus into ministry to take the Gospel to all nations (Mark 16:15-16).
Everyone has their individual roles given by the Holy Spirit as apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors
and teachers for the equipping of the saints (Christians) for the work of
ministry.
Unfortunately, many take this all-important
work of God for granted because for them it is optional while chasing money to
solve their earthly problems is of more value.
As far as God is concerned, absolutely nothing
in this world is more important than the salvation of the souls of all humans.
God can surely do without anyone to accomplish His Divine purpose.
However, He has chosen in His Divine plan to work with His children, the
Christians, to appreciate His saving them to also work with Him to save lost
souls.
To accomplish this, the Lord has handed over His authority on
the earth to the Church as seen in Matthew 28:18-20 to enable them surmount any
hurdles encountered in the ministry.
Dear friend, unless they repent and begin to do what God has
commanded in His Word, many Christians are going to end up in an eternal
damnation in HELL.
There is no excuse whatsoever for failing to do what God has
directed. Has God given you a revelation message for a person or group of
persons?
Please go and deliver the message to them.
It does not matter whether they believe or not because God knows
who would believe and repent and who would reject the message and refuse to
repent.
Don’t behave like Jonah who refused to go and warn the Ninevites
because Jonah understood God’s unending mercy that He would relent in His
judgement over them once they repented.
Prove to God that you love Him by obeying His command to share
the Gospel with others. In whatever ministry God has called you as stated
earlier, you can show Him love and obedience in a number of ways:
(1) Pray genuinely to God to show you what ministry He has called
you into and ask for His grace to function fully when He reveals it to you.
(2) Study the Bible daily, meditate, pray and confess what is stated
therein so that the implanted or rooted or engrafted Word of God can feed your
soul with information you can share with others during evangelism.
(3) Join a team of evangelists to take the Gospel to others on a
regular schedule even if you are a shy person. Ask God to give you courage as
you learn from more experienced members of the team so you can engage others
within your own sphere of influence with time.
Dear friend, evangelism is the heartbeat of the Lord Jesus
Christ so don’t ever joke with this all-important task. Ensure you engage in
evangelism on a weekly regular schedule and any time an opportunity presents
itself outside of your regular schedule wherever you are.
Telling other about Jesus Christ, His sacrificial death for our
sins and resurrection 3 days later, Repentance and Salvation found only in
Jesus Christ, the eternal danger in rejecting the Gospel message and remaining
in sin is one of the greatest act of love and service you can do for the body
of Christ.
(4) Pay your tithes COMPULSORILY – tithe is 10% of income
from salary, 10% from profit of a business and 10% from any money anyone with a
legitimate source of income blesses you with.
Put God first by paying your tithes and don’t ever joke with
this because this is the ONLY way a genuine Christian can prosper financially in
this life.
Tithe is for the work of the Gospel and another great act of
love and service a Christian shows towards God our Creator. It is a covenant
you have with God so you MUST fulfil your own part of the covenant and pay
because God would surely fulfil His part of the covenant as stated in Malachi 3:10-12.
Remember that God only accepts tithes from legitimate and
righteous labours. Don’t give tithes from proceeds of crime or immorality or
any business God forbids because that becomes an abomination.
Before engaging in any business or paid employment, ask God in
prayer to confirm if He accepts such type of business so you don’t waste your
time and resources in a business that offends Him with a huge risk to your soul.
Unfortunately, many Christians do not understand that those who
do not pay tithes are under a curse from God (Malachi 3:9) and no tithe
defaulter will enter heaven because they are spiritually defiled – Revelation
21:27.
(5) Contribute to church projects. Every financial contribution you
invest in God’s work always carries a reciprocal and greater reward from God.
(6) As much as you can, show love to others and help those who are
in need. Help comes through various ways and not just financially as many would
believe by this preceding statement.
Make it your own aim to be a giver and not just a receiver of help
from others. Help could be financial, counselling, prayer, hospital visits,
prison visits, etc.
(7) Unless there is a genuine reason you are sure God accepts, do
ensure to attend meetings called in respect of God’s work and get there on time
too. Avoid fixing other engagements at the same time allotted for any meeting
involving God’s work.
Dear friend, every work done in God’s service is of greatest
value to Him and carries a reward – 1 Corinthians 15:58.
You would do yourself the greatest favour if you focus first and
foremost on these things so God can also take care of your own personal needs
because you can NEVER outgive God.
Do your God-given work with diligence and all seriousness of
heart because just as we are told in today’s lead Holy Bible text in Jeremiah
48:10, there is a curse on anyone who handles God’s business in a sloppy
manner.
Don’t also use God’s work as a reason to defraud, deceive or
oppress others because that also carries a curse.
Every Christian should realize that due to the well-orchestrated
deceit of the devil, demons and their human agents, thousands of souls of
Christians and non-Christians are daily perishing daily and entering an eternal
damnation in HELL so this call to take God’s Work of the Gospel is a major and
very serious one.
Don’t ever take it for granted, dear friend. The consequences
are grave even for those who have studied and now know this information.
Jesus Christ is coming shortly to take in Rapture ONLY those who
are qualified according to His righteous standards in the Holy Bible.
Are you living a genuine life as His disciple? Are you ready for
Him? Come to Jesus today, for tomorrow may be too late for you.
May the good Lord bless you as you heed His Word today, act on
it and share with others in Jesus’ Most Holy Name, Amen.
Gabriel Ama.
