HOW DOES JESUS VIEW YOU?

Luke 6:46-49 (AMPC)
“Why do you call Me, Lord, Lord, and do not [practise] what I tell you?

47 For everyone who comes to Me and listens to My Words [in order to heed their teaching] and does them, I will show you what he is like:

48 He is like a man building a house, who dug and went down deep and laid a foundation upon the rock; and when a flood arose, the torrent broke against that house and could not shake or move it, because it had been securely built or founded on a rock.

49 But he who merely hears and does not practise doing My Words is like a man who built a house on the ground without a foundation, against which the torrent burst, and immediately it collapsed and fell, and the breaking and ruin of that house was great.”

Dear people of God, every Christian knows and agrees that Jesus Christ is his or her Saviour and rightly so. However, from today’s lead Holy Bible text, not every Christian has Jesus Christ as his or her Lord.

The simple benchmark to determine if Jesus is your Lord is whether you obey His Word or not. When you obey Jesus’ commands, then He is your Lord but when you disobey Him, then He is not your Lord.

We have the ten commandments given to us by God. Let us see what God’s Word says in James 2:10-11, For whosoever keeps the Law [as a] whole but stumbles and offends in one [single instance] has become guilty of [breaking] all of it.

11 For He Who said, You shall not commit adultery, also said, You shall not kill. If you do not commit adultery but do kill, you have become guilty of transgressing the [whole] Law.

Some believe it is only when they do what is wrong according to their own standard or reasoning that it becomes a sin.

No!

Go into God’s Word for yourself to see the requirements and then discover for yourself that there is a lot there that you do not know that you falter in and offend God in the process.

Let me remind you dear friend of the under listed:

(1) Adam and Eve’s disobedience of God’s Word brought sin and death into this world. All mankind has suffered the consequence ever since to date with exceptions being genuine Christians who are assured of eternal life in Christ Jesus.

(2) Disobedience of God’s Word caused Moses entry into the Promised Land.

(3) Disobedience of God’s commands caused Saul, Israel’s first king his throne.

Therefore, you should never take God’s Word lightly because it determines your fate in this world. There is nobody who disobeys God that would not experience difficulties in this life and the life to come after death here on earth when the person dies in sin.

Does Jesus see you as His child or as a disobedient person who needs to repent and return to Him urgently?

The decision is yours to make and I pray you make the right decision in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

May the good Lord bless you as you heed His Word today, act on it and share with others in Jesus’ Most Holy Name, Amen.

Gabriel Ama.
