THE END IS HERE
Luke 17:26-30
“And [just] as it was in the days of Noah, so will it be in the time of the Son of Man.
27 [People] ate, they drank, they married, they were given in marriage, right up to the day when Noah went into the ark, and the flood came and destroyed them all. [Gen. 6:5-8; 7:6-24.]
28 So also [it was the same] as it was in the days of Lot. [People] ate, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they built;
29 But on the [very] day that Lot went out of Sodom, it rained fire and brimstone from heaven and destroyed [them] all.
30 That is the way it will be on the day that the Son of Man is revealed.” [Gen. 18:20-33; 19:24, 25.]
Dear people of God, in recent times, the warnings about the second coming of the Lord Jesus Christ have become rampant and very very urgent.
It is the Lord Jesus Himself Who is sending these warnings especially to the Church but the message seems to be falling on deaf ears.
The Lord Jesus says Christians are distracting themselves with worldliness and chase of money and material things rather than examining their lives to prepare for His coming.
The question is, why are Christians not paying attention to these warnings? One reason is because they wrongly assume they are in right standing with God.
But the Lord Jesus says many Christians are not ready for His return as they are harbouring and engaging in secret sins! They are hiding under grace to commit sin.
They tell lies, cheat others, collect and offer bribes, steal from their place of work and even in Church, commit adultery, fornicate, divorce their spouses, masturbate, watch pornography, read pornography, listen to and sing immoral lyrics of worldly music.
Some hate non-Christians, keep malice, keep enemies, quarrel, gossip, backbite, refuse to forgive wrongs, discriminate, crack immoral jokes, disrespect their ecclesiastical superiors and drink alcohol.
For the womenfolk, fashion has become their god. They wear trousers, leggings, see-through clothes, singlets, makeup, lipstick, false hair, false nails, false eye-lash, scrape their eye brow and draw a line in place.
They sew clothes that hug their bodies and reveal their cleavages.
They sell their bodies for money and material things. They deceive men to extort money from them just to satisfy their cravings for the latest ungodly fashion.
They are more interested in their physical appearance rather than their spiritual relationship with God.
Even the pastors and priests are not left out. They are more interested in the size of their bank accounts than the spiritual and moral standards of their congregation.
As a result of turning love of money into their god, some have gone into occult and have ready followers who know they practice this evil but still remain with them to do their evil bidding.
They deceive gullible and desperate married and single ladies into adultery and fornication, impregnate them and abort the unborn babies!
They preach messages that make people feel good and comfortable in sin rather than cry in shame to repent of sin and evil to return sincerely to God.
Take a second look at today’s lead Holy Bible text.
In the days of Noah and Lot, despite repeated warnings, people still lived as they liked until they were totally destroyed in their sins.
The same patterns are repeating themselves now.
Nowadays when you correct Christians, they say you are judging them. When you correct non-Christians and share the Gospel with them, they say you are spreading hate speech.
What else will God do for humans to catch our attention?
The punishment that should have been ours as penalty for sin, God made His Son the Lord Jesus take our place in an abhorrent death on the Cross of Calvary and inputted righteousness to us.
God has been saying ever since and continues to tell us to depart from sin and come back to Him. Humans have been resisting and continue to reject this message and prefer to remain slaves of sin to satan believing it is freedom.
If God’s warning came to pass in Noah’s time and in Lot’s time, who can stop it from coming to pass now?
While God is very displeased with humans and especially Christians, satan and his agents are extremely happy with the state of affairs in today’s world as they know many are in their camp in HELL already.
Dear friends, please take the warning very seriously. I’m telling you, you don’t want to experience what will happen to those who will be left behind when Jesus returns and takes those who are ready in Rapture.
Jesus says He is coming NOW!
Repent and return to Him before it is too late.
