LIVING A HOLY LIFE ON THIS EARTH

Galatians 5:19-21 (AMPC)
“Now the doings (practices) of the flesh are clear (obvious): they are immorality, impurity, indecency,
 
20 Idolatry, sorcery, enmity, strife, jealousy, anger (ill temper), selfishness, divisions (dissensions), party spirit (factions, sects with peculiar opinions, heresies),
 
21 Envy, drunkenness, carousing, and the like. I warn you beforehand, just as I did previously, that those who do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.”
 
Dear people of God, for some human beings, it is easier to do what is wrong than what is right.
 
As a preacher mentioned recently, righteousness is what is approved by God Almighty and Father of my Saviour and Lord Jesus Christ.
 
The same God has stated in His Word above what He does not accept from Christians who profess Jesus Christ as their Saviour and Messiah.
 
Indeed, it is the same standard for every other human being whether a Christian or not. However, you must first be a Christian before you can qualify to be called a child of God and given the rights of a child of God as stated in John 1:12.
 
It is equally pertinent to note that no human being on this earth can just begin to obey this command of God without having the Holy Spirit of God operating in his or her life.
 
The reason for this is because the whole world lies under the sway of the wicked one, the devil, (1 John 5:19) who uses demonic influences over people to make them do his bidding by going contrary to God’s command in their thoughts, words and deeds – 2 Corinthians 4:4.
 
The Good News is that anyone who genuinely belongs to God through Jesus Christ my Lord has a measure of the Spirit of God given to him or her at the rebirth or recreation of his or her soul – Ephesians 4:7.
 
However, it is the pertinent to note that as a baby Christian, it is your personal responsibility to train your recreated born-again spirit to conform to God’s unyielding standards of Truth, Holiness, and Righteousness.
 
The way to do this is by submitting yourself to daily study, meditation, confession of God’s Word in the Holy Bible, obedience to God’s Word and obedience to the promptings within your RECREATED spirit man or hidden man of the heart as God speaks to you.
 
As you engage in these noble and godly activities, you will notice over time that without any struggle you begin to lose interest in the things of the world that previously engaged your attention.
 
Dear friend, don’t let anyone deceive you into thinking that you can live a successful life in this world without Jesus Christ and the Spirit of God.
 
A successful life as far as God is concerned is a life lived for Him and that gains you an eventual entry into eternal life in Heaven forever when you depart this world.
 
If you fail to achieve this, then as Scriptures say, you are of all men the most miserable because an eternal damnation awaits all such persons who yield to their human flesh and its cravings and it is certainly not worth it.
 
The choice is strictly yours to make as well as for all other human beings who all have their FREEWILL.
 
Jesus’ coming for His children in the Rapture is imminent. Are you His child or are you born again? Are you ready for Him?
 
Come to Jesus Christ the Word of God today and now, for tomorrow or later may be too late for you.
 
May the good Lord bless you as you heed His Word today, act on it and share with others in Jesus’ Most Holy Name, Amen.

HOW DO YOU CONTROL VIOLENCE IN PEOPLE?

Hebrews 12:14 (AMPC)  “ Strive to live in peace with everybody and pursue that consecration  and holiness without which no one will [ever] see the Lord.”   Dear people of God, I read sometime in December 2019 ago of a police inspector in Nigeria who shot and killed his colleague, a corporal, and the same shot injured another colleague, a deputy Superintendent of police after which the police inspector took his own life.   What could have led to such violence?   I also read of another unfortunate story of a lady killed December 25, 2019, Christmas Day, by her husband who had beaten her to a coma and then ran away after discovering what he had done. The police have since found and arrested him.   Reports have it that the man was fond of beating his late wife at the slightest provocation, which has eventually led to her death in this latest incident.   Again, what could have caused this incessant violence?   Medical experts claim that humans have 2 s...

GOD CANNOT VIOLATE HIS WORD

  Psalm 89:34  “My covenant I will not violate, nor will I alter the utterance of My lips.” Dear people of God, today’s lead Bible text in Psalm 89:34 is a profound statement by God Almighty and Father of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. What this statement from God means is that there is nothing He has said in His Word that He will fail to perform. A sensible Christian who understands this will look for what God has said by careful, meditative study of God’s Word found only in the Holy Bible, thank God joyously for it, claim it and God will surely perform what His Word has stated.
