THE GREATNESS OF OUR GOD (3)

Dear friend, except for the Triune Godhead who is Creator, all other forms of existence in the universe are creatures!

By Triune Godhead, I mean the Holy Trinity of God the Father, God the Son (our Lord Jesus Christ) and God the Holy Spirit.

Understand that there is ONLY one God but in 3 different Persons - Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

It is written in God's Word in 1 John 5:7, "For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one."

Jesus Christ, the Second Person of the Trinity is the Word of God (John 1:1,14; Revelation 19:13) that became a human being (John 1:14) and lived amongst humans for 33 whole years.

It is strange when people say they don't believe in the Holy Trinity. Everyone who believes in God believes God can do all things. So if God can do all things, why is it difficult to believe that God is One but in Three Different Persons even when this is clearly revealed in His Word in the Holy Bible as quoted above?

Dear friend, one thing I want you to understand is that God can do all things. Let this truth sink into your conscious and subconscious mind.

However, please note that God cannot do evil because He is Holy. It is written in James 1:13, "Let no one say when he is tempted, “I am tempted by God”; for God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does He Himself tempt anyone."

God is the embodiment of Holiness. It is written of God in His Word in Habakkuk 1:13a "You are of purer eyes than to behold evil, and cannot look on wickedness."

It is also written in Isaiah 57:15 "For thus says the High and Lofty One Who inhabits eternity, whose name is Holy: “I dwell in the high and holy place, with him who has a contrite and humble spirit,

To revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart of the contrite ones."

God is the ONLY Being who never had a beginning, nor can He have an end. God was, is and is to come. God is everlasting. God was not created. God is the CREATOR.

There is none above Him.

God is THE Beginning and the End, the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last. (Revelation 1:8; 22:13)

Dear friend, again, let these truths sink into your conscious and subconscious mind.

It is written in Revelation 4:8 "The four living creatures, each having six wings, were full of eyes around and within. And they do not rest day or night, saying:
“Holy, holy, holy,
Lord God Almighty,
Who was and is and is to come!”


Having now known these truths about the Greatness of our God, dear friend, there is another truth I want you to know and understand: satan, demons (fallen angels who rebelled against the Sovereign Authority of God Almighty) are all creatures of God and are therefore limited in what they can do like every other creature of God.

It is ONLY God that is unlimited in His Greatness and ability to do all things. I therefore urge Christians NEVER to be afraid of satan, demons, witches, wizards, occultic people, ritualists, herbalists, native doctors, necromancers, magicians, and people with all manner of occultic and evil powers.

The ability of these groups of evil creatures to harm anyone comes from a lack of understanding of who we are in Christ Jesus and the Authority Jesus has given to all Christians.

By Christian, dear friend, I mean, a follower of Jesus Christ by WORD & DEED in strict obedience to the written Word of God found ONLY in the Holy Bible.

Jesus Christ says in Luke 10:19-20 "Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you.

Nevertheless do not rejoice in this, that the spirits are subject to you, but rather rejoice because your names are written in heaven.”

What this means is that Jesus Christ, the Son of God and Word of God and Second Person of the Holy Trinity has given Christians all authority over evil.

But again, Jesus Christ warns that this authority over evil and satanic forces should not be our focus as Christians. Our focus as Christians is getting our names into the Book of Life in Heaven.

Your name can only be written in the Book of Life in Heaven if you repent of sin and evil, confess it, accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour of your life, and live in strict obedience to His commands in the Holy Bible.

Your ability to do this GENUINELY, AUTOMATICALLY gives you authority over every power of evil, makes you a victor and overcomer in this life and assures you on entering heaven to spend eternity with Jesus Christ.


Dear friend, this again, is the Greatness of our God. Jesus loves us so much He came from His Throne in Heaven to die for your sins and mine. What reason do we now have to ignore Jesus Christ our Creator (John 1:2-3) and then live a life of sin following satan His creature (1 John 3:8-9)?

Today, and NOW, is the time to give your life to Jesus Christ, for tomorrow may be too late.

If you believe, please pray this prayer with me:

Lord Jesus Christ, I have read today's post and I have come to understand that You created me and You have always existed and You alone have everlasting power as God.

I now understand that living a life of sin makes me obey satan Your creature rather than You my Creator.

I repent sincerely of all my sins today. I confess my sins (pause here and PLEASE mention all the sins you can remember without pretending to forget any). I promise never to go back to them.

I promise to accept You today as Lord of my life and live in strict obedience to Your commands by the Power of Your Holy Spirit.

I promise to find a true Church where Your Holy Word is taught from the Holy Bible and I promise to fellowship regularly with them and obey all You teach me through them till I depart this world to come be with You in eternity.

I promise that in spite of any obstacle I may face as a Christian, I will follow you my Creator and trust in You to overcome challenges because You are able to do all things for me as Your Word has said.

Thank You, Lord for saving me. In Your precious Name I have prayed, Amen.

Dear friend, if you have prayed this prayer with a sincere and contrite heart, I congratulate you. All you have to do now is make up your mind NEVER to be distracted by the evils of this world.

One way you can achieve that is to CONSTANTLY expose yourself to the things of God, PARTICULARLY the Word of God in the Holy Bible.

As you do this, what you will notice is that your life will begin to take on a new meaning and direction because the Word of God is active and alive.

The Word of God is Spirit and Life. The Word of God is ALL that a human being needs to live right, live well, overcome all obstacles (2 Timothy 3:16-17) and depart this world to meet Jesus in Heaven forever.

May the Good Lord bless and prosper you as you heed His Word today, act on it and share with others in Jesus' Most Glorious Name, Amen.

HOW DO YOU CONTROL VIOLENCE IN PEOPLE?

Hebrews 12:14 (AMPC)  “ Strive to live in peace with everybody and pursue that consecration  and holiness without which no one will [ever] see the Lord.”   Dear people of God, I read sometime in December 2019 ago of a police inspector in Nigeria who shot and killed his colleague, a corporal, and the same shot injured another colleague, a deputy Superintendent of police after which the police inspector took his own life.   What could have led to such violence?   I also read of another unfortunate story of a lady killed December 25, 2019, Christmas Day, by her husband who had beaten her to a coma and then ran away after discovering what he had done. GOD CANNOT VIOLATE HIS WORD

  Psalm 89:34  “My covenant I will not violate, nor will I alter the utterance of My lips.” Dear people of God, today’s lead Bible text in Psalm 89:34 is a profound statement by God Almighty and Father of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. What this statement from God means is that there is nothing He has said in His Word that He will fail to perform. A sensible Christian who understands this will look for what God has said by careful, meditative study of God’s Word found only in the Holy Bible, thank God joyously for it, claim it and God will surely perform what His Word has stated.
